This is the true test of NSer's power of community. Travis has 3.6 MILLION facebook fans, and Tom Wallisch has 93,000 fans...if he wins it's because Newschoolers is the absolute best.
 
the fact that this thread is a sticky is pathetic. in no way does tom deserve to be called the current best action sports athlete whether it means anything or not. way to prove to everyone how ignorant the general population of newschoolers is

I think it would be cool if tom won. 5 or 10 years ago it would have been unimaginable to have a member of our community representing us in the finals on a semi-pointless poll like this against other major action sports athletes. Just a small example of how our sport, community and NS has come along over the years. Sure Travis has nearly 4 million fans on facebook, but what percentage of those people really totally understand what really goes into all his sports? Either way, its good to see both guys make it to the finals in this dumb poll. Travis and tom both kill it at their respective sport(s).

pastrana is pretty fucking extreme though. he does rally car shit, motocross, base jumping, all of it.

but i gotta rep the freeskiing community. tyler wubnuts has my vote.

I quickly peeked at travis's page before I looked at the tallies and I was like 3m fans, their is no way toms ahead, I nearly pissed my pants when I saw that it was like 40-60%
 
even tough travis deserves this in my heart, i'm gonna vote for tom simply because it's awesome how we can sway shit like this !
