Tom Wallisch Full Seg

Tom has gotten shafted the last 2 years by level 1 , and not gotten a full seg. He also didnt get a full segment in last years field productions film. Tom films with multiple crews, has his own webisodes and also is found in a variety of summer edits and whatnot.

I think the guy really deserves a solid season edit of all his best shots! how sick would that be? Im a huge fan of the guy, and I think an edit like this especially if its public would be amazing for tom, the skiing community, and his sponsors.

Maybe it would have to drop after level 1 is finished having their premier season and the sunny hype dies down. But someone with some editing skills should do this !! If you give credit for filming and showcase his sponsers , I really dont see anything wrong with this.
 
He's been competing a lot the past few seasons. Most skiers have to choose between that and getting a full segment. It's just straight badass that he manages to still have parts in movies and webisodes.
 
I think this is part of the reason why he has not. Filming a full seg for a movie is shit load of work and when you are filming with multiple companies and doing as many things as famous Wallisch does it's tough.

There are only so many hours in a season...
 
I believe what the OP means is he wants all of toms footage from Level 1, Field, 4bi9, everything all in one edit made by an outside editor. Which would be cool, but is never gonna happen with sponsors and filmers not wanting shots in more than one place etc.
 
yeah, miss toms segments, refresh and eye trip ftw. also 4bi9 flicks. it's so impressive how he competes so hard and still gets the most unreal shots with so many different film companies. one busy dude
 
True, but the first thing he talks about is how Level 1 is shafting him...ultimately he does go on to say how they should compile everything, but he's talking about two separate things - a full segment and a season edit. In the end it sounds like he just wants to see an edit, but don't call out Level 1 and Field for not giving him full segments when the rest of of the post answers why.

That being said, a full season edit of Wally would be nasty, but I more so prefer the cohesiveness of a film segment.
 
Would be insane to see Tom focus a full season to produce an urban segment, I prefer seeing him in movies than winning all the comps

I think everyone would appreciate more footage of Wallisch, so we can agree on that aspect, but you have got it fucked up beyond that. Tom puts together his schedule, he prioritizes what he wants to do.

Name someone in the Level1 flick who competed at every major contest of the season, filmed with two other production companies, produced several webisodes of his own and other random edits, and then managed to put together a full segment for Level1.

The guy's gotta live a life, too.

Weren't you the guy who made some dumbass thread about how stept or someone else owed it to you to release their movie online or you'd be "forced" to pirate it?
 
Hey OP why don't you make his season edit for him. All the clips are downloadable and editable (probably illegal to use but whatevs)

Even though its just park footage, I have quite the abundance of bangers.
 
wallisch should dedicate some time to making a fucked up urban segment. massive closeouts, rails over road gaps, roof transfers...

he's been taking over the competition scene making a good amount of $$$.. making stupid SCOTT wednesday with walllisch series of him murdering park so everyone feels bad about their rail skills. thats cool and all.. but its time for walllnuts to get back to his roots, crop some hyphy burton onesie, and slay the gnarliest street features on that stept tip.

That is rediculous. L1P has not shafted Tom in any way. Tom is crazy busy w/comps, his webisode w/Scott, and filming w/multiple production companies. Not to mention the element of injury a couple yrs ago that limited him, and then last years bleak snowfall that made it hard to get footy. It's not L1P's fault Tom doesn't have a full segment. I don't know how anyone could with the kind of schedule Tom has. And with the approach of the Sochi Olympics, it's not going to get any easier.

 
This coming up season, the dew your has been reduced to only 1 stop from what I've heard, so that will give Tom more free time, so he could possibly have a longer segment next year, and that's If he choses to film more on his free time

1. He kindof did get shafted the last 2 years by level 1 in terms of getting a full segment. Splitting up his shots just makes the work he did for them seem kindof less impressive .. to me at least. Imagine if they saved all of his shots for one crazy banger ending segment.

2. I honestly think that it could work in everyones advantage to actually put this kindof thing together. Especially if they a logo in the corner to give credit to each shot, ex. little DTF or Level 1 logo. This video would probly get a ton of hits on vimeo or youtube and would be a promo for the filming companies. and the sponsers would fucking love it as well.

3. I would try to do it myself, but I know there are so many more talented ppl then me in this community!
 
hahaha this thread is so fucking dumb. If he had stacked enough footage for a full segment Im sure Level 1 wouldnt hesitate to give him one or whoever he is filming with.

lolwut tom had so many bangers in sunny, i think everyone recognized that. you know how much that kid is on the road? shit.
 
The kid won AFP slopestyle champ, nearly every comp he entered across the world, filmed edits at his home mountain for Scott, and STILL made it to Japan, Alaska and other urban trips to get arguably some of the best shots in Level 1's movie. It's fucked up that he was even able to make the time to get any shots, let alone as many as he did.
 
It's like already stated hard for Tom to compete on nearly every comp and also film. He will compete for more 2 years if he hast still fun then and will focuse more on filming after the olympics.
 
what tom wallisch does in a season:-all major comps (remember how he WON most of them last year)

-films with level 1

-films with 4bi9

-films with TGR

-films with field productions

-films with jiberish

-goes to university (probably not in the winter, but probably some fall/spring classes unless he's graduated already)

did you ever think that maybe instead of level 1 "shafting" him, he just didn't spend enough time filming with level 1 to get enough footy for a full seg?

I agree that it would be sick to edit all of his different footy into 1, but I doubt all of those film companies would want to give out their shots for free when you can pay to see them in their individual movies (which is worth the money anyways).
 
haha you guys dont even know how to read. I explained first that Tom the last 2 years has all his shots are split into different segments and therefore he doesnt get a full segment. And im saying it would be sick if because he is the best park and best urban skier of all time that he should warrant his own segment. It has nothing to do with the amount he films with level 1 because he actually DOES do enough filming with them already.

Yes i understand he s busy im not stupid....
