Today was one of the worst days of my life.

yea that really sucks but the reality is it happens to everyone in one way or another. whats even worse is it seems like all the best people are the ones to die tragically
 
from what it sounds like, your could not be more wrong. he was high and driving so fast that that girl could not keep up with him. sure the 16 year old may have swerved a little while on the phone, but the fact the there was a high driver excessively speeding head on with this kid is inexcusable. if he was going the speed limit, neither might have died. hes not as innocent as he may sound

and to the poster: im sorry man, i know what it feels like. last year my friend died 4 days before his 16th birthday because he was sitting in the back seat of a speeding car with no seatbelt on. and the year before that, my friends brother died in nyc by hitting a cement divider. its not a fun experience at all, but i do agree with d-loc. these are 2000 pound weapons that kids are driving, and they need to get it in their head that they need to be more careful when behind the wheel. but im still sorry for your loss
 
Just to give you guys an idea of how many people knew him. at least 300 out of 450 kids in my school are going to his funeral, and at least 50% of the other kids school will be attending too.
 
i take back the title. yesterday WAS the worst day of my life. at the funeral his mom didnt shed a tear, then the pastor said a prayer at the burial, and she lost it. she jumped for the coffin crying and screaming and 2 marines had to pull her off. thats when everyone broke down, i think every person in the place was crying.
 
^that is so incredibly sad, in the past few years, four people have been killed in car accidents that were young, its a very very rough time to go through, just say your prayers, i personally think that raising the age to 18 might actually be a great idea
 
oh god. im sorry to hear that. the numbers are just statistics until someone you love dies from a car accident. my cousin, gian, died in a car accident in 2003. he was 15. there was no way they could keep him alive. he was brain dead and his brain was swollen soo much they had to take his skull off to releive pressure. ahhh gosh, this is terrible. some advice from my experience with gian: dont let it go right past you, grieve and accept it so it doesnt come back at you. at the time when he was killed, i didnt know what to think and tried to push it off. it hit me hard later since he was such a great person and i loved him alot.

i have recently had to deal with the same circumstances...it is no fun. i cant even describe how it feels...but when u stop and think about it, u realize you will never see them again...and idunno..its the hardest part...but if u really think about it, he is not the one hurting, you are...think about it really. that's how i cope.

Thank you. I'm not saying it was more tragic, but I can't believe it took this long for someone to mention the other kid.

I know this post is from a long time ago, but I am just now finding out about Danny’s passing. We went to the same middle school for maybe a year, and I ran into him years later by coincidence when he happened to be working at a McDonalds in Clear Spring, MD. I was there as a pit stop from a trip with my church youth group. I came across a photo of him from I think the 8th grade dance that I wanted to share.
