Just bought some Rossi S5's

I live in the east, ski on shitty hard icy snow all year. When im skiing home mountains i ski 95% park 5% everything else. When I get a chance to get to larger hills I love to search out any bit of powder I can and ski lots of glades. Unfortuantly that only happens once or twice a year at most, ill usually spend a total of 5 days at "larger" hills each year. The rest of the 20 some odd days will be spent lapping a shitty park at a small hill some where in western quebec.

Im fortunate to be going out west (for the first time ever!!!!) to fernie this year for 4 days.

Basically im wondering if the few days of slight pow and tree skiing I do every year are enough to constitute mounting some where besides true center.

I live in the midwest and also ski hard manmade snow most of the year, but I usually get to ski pow about 10-20 days of the year, and I have two pairs of skis: my powder skis and my park skis. My powder skis are mounted at core center for good balance in the pow, and my park skis are mounted true center. If you are gonna be able to ski some pow, you could always remount your bindings for that trip, but since you won't be skiing pow too much I would stick with center mounting for all your park skiing. Skiing center mounted skis in the pow isn't too bad. I've done it and you just have to lean back a bit more. Hope this helps somewhat.

youd be better off mounting center for the everyday use you described and demoing different skis out west if the conditions are worth it

Rode all last season with my S5's mounted a bit back from center. Got them remounted to center this year and really like it. I ride about the same as you with them, 90% park, so I'd say that in itself would constitute a center mount. As long as the skis aren't too short for you to begin with you should be fine for those four days.

Good ski choice.
