hey, yeah i know another season thread so i'll keep it short...got a job lined up working for the mountain in retail and some other random stuff but starting to get the impression from reading around that working for the mountain in a job like this isn't the best for getting some riding in?! gonna save up a fair bit before heading out but will need a job of some sort and will prob send some cv's out to bars when i get to the village, figured it can't hurt. I'd do any job (within reason) to stay the season but don't whan to have the whip cracked on me all day everyday. any advice would help big time.
cheers

my first job in whis was with WB cleaners.. grimey at times but fuckin legit. decent pay, free pass, work 40 hrs per week- 4 days from 5-3 am, housing if you want it, and shredding every day
id do it again for the shredding. no doubt

How did you get the job already? i went to reluctantly apply but i couldn't since i wont be around in Whistler before 6th of august for an interview....

applied through an agency called OWH that recruits for the mountain/intrawest and they held interviews in the UK and Aus during june/july. I say i've got a job...i find out official job offer in the 1st week of august, but like the woman who interviewed me said, there's gotta be a strong reason for you to not be offered a job!
Heard they have recruitment fairs sept/oct time though which i'm probably gonna hit up anyway on the off chance any bar jobs are floating around, no doubt there's many more people on here who know more than me.

looks like i may have missed the boat on pre-arranged jobs with the mountain then...
what date are you heading out? the lease on our house doesn't start 'til november apparently so that could screw any job fair opportunityies.

job starts on the 5th of november so prob head out around the 1st. can't hurt to give bunac a call, numbers on their site...just gotta get money together now for flights n shit. bring on november!
