hey, me and a couple buddies are headin out there in december, the 6th through the 14th. prolly be 2-4 people total. lookin to see if anyone would be willin to put us up for a a few nights. everyone coming would be 18-22, so no lil kids. well supply plenty of beer ganj, pizza, whatever you want, and prolly some $ ontop of that. i just dont wanna spend 100 bucks a night for a place to crash, rather chill with some locals and party it up. so fellow newschoolers, anyone wanna help out?

 
but you guys do all realize that all that film from baker came from 2 weeks, out of over half a year of being open. so It is more likely that you will get nothing but rain then the snow that you saw in idea, unless you live here. or are like pros and can get to any place in the world in 48 hours.
 
yeah? we are flyin into seattle/vancouver (thank you skybus, 40 bucks round trip). ive heard nothing but good things bout baker. could go to whistler again, but i dunno, kinda wanna do something smaller/cheaper. where would you rec. for early season?
 
If you don't mind the floor and a couple couches, me and 4 homies have a place in bellingham. about an hour drive from baker.
 
there are tons of good people in bham. try posting in the WA regionals, and dont listen to billy, hes a pessimist to the extreme
 
haha sweet. i know its early, but it was cheap, and i work my ass off around the holiday season at our shop. it was either early or never. besides, im goin to mammoth in febuary, someplace in europe in march, and new zealand all summer. so if the skiing is only slightly kickass (mind you, i normally ride 300 ft in ohio), its all good.

and about the floors and couches, its all good man, id def be down with that
 
Haha Baker is still fun even if we aren't having an overly epic pow day.

I don't know if you'd want to, I only know of highschool parties and such, but I could probably work out a place to stay, I got 2 spare beds, a few couches, and an xbox 360. But I could probably work something out for some fellow NSers.
 
meh not in my opinion. i had a season's pass at kicking horse for 2 years and when it snowed it was great, but when there was more snow in golden then there was at the base of kicking horse...it gets a little discouraging. kicking horse is not renowned for its snow at all and many investors thuoght the owner as an idiot for putting the resort there due to eratic weather patterns that wouldnt bring enough snow to the mountain. your dead wrong.
 
i like it where more then big white.  However i was only at each for 3 days. Big white was a massive peice of ice with a park worse than what we have here in ontario.  Kicking Horse was getting like 10 inches a day.  Big white did look like it has a hew good places when the snow is nice though.  If you can recall to last mid march you will remember how icy/lack of fresh snow it was...
 
you guys are more than welcome to come stay at my place for a night or two.

we got some space in the living room, probably enough for four. just gotta move some stuff around. also a futon/couch, for whoever. its in east bellingham, maybe 2 or 3 blocks from beginning of highway 542, easy to find, close to I-5. and if you want to bring your board shorts, my apt complex has a year round hot tub that is friendly to beer drinking.

are you guys for sure coming out the 6th? as in would be in town the 6th? i might head out to idaho on the 7th, but you guys are more than welcome to crash for a couple days. roommate is a chill guy so its all good.
 
yea man, for sure. we are comiin out on the 6th, leavin 14th. wouldnt mind splittin it up between a few peoples places. meet more people, less a pain for the places were crashin at. mtbakerteachers willing to hook it up for a few days (thanks again), but a hot tub sounds sick too. anyway, thanks to everyone for the hospitality, it wont go unrewarded!
 
hey, they are cool with you sleepin in the car there right? shit, i think if its just 2 of us, rent a minivan, and live outta that bitch for a few days at a time
 
ANYONE HERE has a place to stay in bham if they need it this season. unless we already have guests, then your SOL.

but yea rowen, just let me know when you're planning on coming up. you guys are welcome anytime for sure.
