To people at mcgill

im thinkin of going there next year, and i want to know the skiing situation there, whats the deal with lift passes, transportation, what mountains and is there skiers that would be down for urban sessions?

thanks

I'm not going to mcgill, but I live in montreal. If you want to ski on weekdays, he nearest mountain is St-bruno, small mountain, park not good but really close. After avila st-sauveur is close and have a good park..

hey i'm a first year at mcgill so i haven't experienced the ski season yet but one of the reasons i chose to come here was when someone called me to tell me about the school and said there were busses up to various mountains every weekend and discounted tickets and you could pretty much find a ride up whenever you needed it..so i think it's pretty decent?

yo -- anyone skiing at McGill should check out the McGill Snowboard Club (not only boarders...) who run weekend trips to local mountains. Cheap -- you get a good bus & discount passes (and rentals if need be). Also the McGill Outdoor Club which does a few bus trips a year but also more relaxed car trips and lots of trekking / backcountry (or close to it, in the 'Dacks), iceclimbing, that sort of thing. Between the two clubs you should be set. I'd recommend the MOC -- expand yr skills, learn how to climb--!

or you could join the freestyle club, we go to avila monday nights to sesh, thro dope parties and sesh mcgill campus rails
