Hey. First off, I'd like to say I love what you did with this site. But one thing i think you shouldve done was to make Guest Resrictions more strict. I mean there is 458 of them on right now. I really think you should only allow them access to maybe one Message board or something. Just so they can get a taste of NS and join.

I just noticed the video section is down, and maybe if you capped the guest count or what they could do, the site wouldn't be this slow.

And maybe a resriction on how many videos people can post. Maybe about 20 or so? then when they want to post a new one they haveto delete one.

Good luck with the new server. Just a few suggestions to help out with this bandwidth. It won't be a major change, but I think it will help. Just my two cents.

And I am Clicking those ads.

i dont know if this is already done but after a while videos should be removed from the list and only accesable through the members profile. maybe? just a thought.

 
The one about vids and how guests and watch them, they can't, but the rest of that is good stuff.

make it so that a single memeber can't have over 10 vids up, or only being able to watch 10 vids a day. and only let guests view the message board, and maybe the photos. maybe some of that would help

i agree that there should be a video and picture upload limit. theres people with a whole shitload of pictures and videos from years or months back that no one looks at. kind of a waste of space.

 
I agree, restricting guests a bit more makes us members feel that little bit more special.

to matt. Yeah the guests can. my friend came on as a guest and he went through someones profile and watched the vids.

Harvey, if your short on time I'll set up that CSS drop down menu for you so its ready for next month. That will save you about 6kb per page load alone (and work in FireFox). There are a bunch of things I can do that would save some bandwidth & CPU time. I'd love to help, let me know.

harvey needs to rewrite the core to amke thing more smoothly, he knows that. Also, less guests wouldn't save that much bandwidth, seeing as they can't acess videos anyways. maybe not allwoing them to dl and video ro picture from ANY part of the site would work...

i was thinking for a while instead of a 5MB limit, there should be a max limit, like 40MB or so so u can have one larger file
