To all you american/canadian students

so the story is like that: i study in innsbruck, austria (live 100 km away) and things get a little boring. nice city and a lot of friends there, but i guess i am not missing too much in case i leave for a semester or 2.
so, since studying here is pretty much free (only around 700 € per year), i am looking for some kind of program for international students in the US/canada. i dont care too much about location, but there should be something to do there, mountains or sea or whatever.
the thing is that my english prof (one of the best i have ever had) said that there is a way to study in the US with a part of the tuition either paid by some organisation, university or its possible to work for it at the university.
so, basically, i want NS, yes i know, NS, to tell me if anyone has heard of such programs/possibilities for international students and can tell me where i can find more information about it and/or how i can apply.
any additional info regarding general tuition fees for your college are greatly appreciated.

bring on the hate and the first to post a picture unrelated to the thread gets +k.

BOTTOM LINE FOR LAZY PEOPLE: do you have any information about tuition fees at various colleges, scholarships/international student programs? can you share it here for, lets say, a hippo picture?

Not that it's any help to you, but Quebec and France have a deal where students can study at either place dirt cheap.

Maybe your country has a similar deal with someone else?

Or, ask an academic advisor- probably your best bet to look over your options.

depends on the individual school for the most part but alot have exchange programs and what not.. but look on a site of a school you re interested in and email them, they will help you alot

yeah, might be a good way to start on my side, maybe there is something, i will give you, lets say +2, no +3 for generally providing no information but still helping me out.

anything else?
