TJ Lavin in a coma after crash

yeah nbc removed it and i cant find another link anywhere
he's reported to be in critical condition though due to swelling in his brain

One of my favorite riders. Him, fuzzy and some other riders were pushing it on the dirt forever. TJ was one of my idols. Seeing the huge dirt gaps in ride or the earlier years of the xgames dirt. Always going for it. And he was one of the first people throwing doubles.

Hopefully he makes it out ok. Def vibes. This fucking sucks.
 
From what I've heard, TJ is in a medically induced coma right. Supposedly the swelling in his brain has gone down faster than they expected, so that's encouraging. There's been a lot of legends of BMX getting injured this year, definitely not something anybody likes to see. +++Vibes to TJ and his family.
 
God I hope he gets better.

Honestly though, the first thing that I thought when reading the thread title was "fuck, TJ is still riding?"
 
if he wasnt in a coma / famous, i have a feeling like people wouldnt be all +vibesy and more like "oh pwned" and shit

Same here. Knew he was still riding, but I didn't know he still competed. I haven't watched any of the dew tours or xgames the last couple years.

Hopefully everything works out
 
Like, he was super well known and in the magazines all the time when I was in middle school. And that was almost 8 years ago.

Fuck, I feel old considering all the BMX guys I used to watch are these guys:

Like, shit... do any of those guys ride anymore?
