No, not at all. I don't mind other people's belief's. I agree, having them pushed on me isn't appreciated, but I don't believe in pushing mine on others either. I don't consider "merry christmas" pushing beliefs on anybody. I think that by somebody saying merry christmas, or somebody saying happy hanukkah, or anything for that matter is perfectly acceptable. I would never be offended if somebody said happy hanukkah to me at all, because to me, it means that they are wishing me the best of times during their holiday - a sign that they think everybody should not necessarily celebrate, but enjoy themselves over said holiday. I think it's the same thing going the other way around. If I were to wish somebody a merry christmas, I'm not saying "go celebrate christmas", but I'm saying that in my eyes, christmas is a time of celebration, and that they should be allowed to enjoy it as much as any other person - whether they chose to or not is completely up to them.
In no way am I trying to be hypocritical. I just think that when I go up to somebody and say merry christmas (or happy hanukkah, or whatever holiday in whatever religion it may be), people shouldn't get offended, as all I'm doing is wishing them a happy time. It goes both ways also of course.
