Tips to gain 10lbs?

As a Football Player I have to constantly gain wieght since my freshman year to remain competitive. There several important factors in gaining wieght.

First, you have to decide what your goal truely is and the logistics of it. For example you want to gain 10 pounds. Your true goal corresponds with what you want your body to look like. If 10 pounds represents the amount of muscle wieght you want to achieve that look your approaching this wrong. However if like me you have been told you been to gain x amount of weight is numeric value important. Yet as I mentioned before I you simply want to appear larger dont place a weight goal or limit on it as this will unfocus you from what you actually hope to achieve.

Next, I'll break this into two pieces general healthy wieght gain and pure muscle building.

General Healthy Wieght Gain

Often as in this thead people say eat unhealthy food to gain wieght. This is the oppositte of what you need to do. Simply eat more of the good food and most importantly increase you protien intake. I suggest a protien shake after breakfast and dinner. However if you are not lifting along with a protien diet you can encounter probelms such as kidney stones. Also lift with bulking in mind. HIGH wieght LOW repititions. Also a method I have followed although I dont know the placebo effect is to sqaut one or two heavy sets before every workout supposedly this shoots extra testorone into you system. Also form a schedule which combines wieght lifting with cardio. BUilding function muscle is important especially for us skier. RUnning can also be key to bulking resistance training running stairs, with parachutes, up hills all will help you gain mass.

Pure Muscle Gain

Follow same healthy diet taking lean protien, amino acids, and glutamine. I generally will lift through doing high wieght low repititions, and hour of cardio, then go back through doing half of the excersises on low weight high repititions to burn fat. Finished by heavy abs workout.

LASTLY.... DO MANUAL LABOR go shovel, do landscaping, chop wood although it sounds cliche this kind of work builds muscle you cant develop in a gym, ever.

wrong. Peanut butter has very little trans fat, and if you get the natural peanut butter, NO trans fat. Also, who ever said fat is bad? Especially natural peanut butter, it is full of the good types of fat that you need, polyunsaturated and monounsaturated. Peanut butter is a great food for active types. Yes, if you are sitting on your ass all day itsi bad, but its a very healthy food
