Tips? suggestions?

hey guys and girls.

first time on here so I dono if this is the right place but ill try anyways.

Im looking to get into park skiing this year and I was wondering what I should be looking for in skis, bindings, boots. Im 5'11 150 lbs. I used to ski alot like 3 years ago but i out grew my skiis and never got new ones. I dont really have a price range right now cuz its coming up on christmas time so anything is good.

also anytips on how to approche things for the first time. iv never really tried rails and stuff, but gotta start somewhere right.

anyhelp would be greatly appreciated. thanks

 
line afterbangs are great for getting into park, assuming you wont be hitting too many huge jumps, and theyre dirt cheap. i would get 177 last years or this years afterbangs,
 
First off, the most important piece of equipment is your boots. Try to go to a shop that knows what they are doing and buy what fits, not what looks good or what is marketed toward park. As for bindings, I would check out the sticky on bindings in gear talk. Skis are a lot more personal preference than anything, especially when it comes to park, so I can't really help you much there. Do you ski just park or do you also do groomers/pow?

I would say don't buy a cheap ski, my first year i did this and as I started doing big jumps and getting good i realized i shoulda just went with a better setup off the start.
And your from ottawa? Check T&L for boot's they have a really good boot fitter his name escapes me but just ask for their #1 guy.
 
ill deff be going to some shops just trying to understand whats what before buying anything. iis T&L our only legit ski shop in ottawa?
 
when i say park i mean rails and kickers and all that stuff. i dono if it all falls under park or not.

srry still trying to understand wat some people say sometimes lol

iv had my eye set on 3 skiis for a bit now

armada ar7 , line stepup, or the rossi S4Jib

i know there isnt any shops that carry armada and line in my area so wat would be a good place to check online?
