So I'm teaching myself how to Misty and Rodeo 5s off of shit onto mats. Any tips on what to do? Never done one before and I'm planning on getting them on snow and land. Which ones easier? I can do a standing front flip with one step. my backs blow.

trick tip cult

but to answer your question you flip more forewards on the misty and to the side on the rodeo, with spinning obviously

Only done them on tramps and off cliffs this summer but if you are comfortable with fronts just do a front, but throw your left arm to the right of your right knee, like punching down diagonally. Give a little twist to the right with your waist/upper body and the legs practically bring themselves around. I'm pretty sure that's a misty. Either way it comes around to 540 perfectly and looks pretty cool. I spin natty right though so you might want to punch with your right arm. I can land these almost perfectly on tramps, but can't even backflip. So it must be pretty easy.

I learned rodeos off cliffs to powder. It started with fronts, backs, and lincoln loops and then I started rotating. I've never tried them in the park...

ME NEITHER....YET, BUT I FEEL LIKE THE ANGLES OF THE JUMP WOULD BE WAY DIFFERENT.LOOK AT HOW MUCH (FORGET WHO DID IT IN NZ) HAS TO WIND UP FOR DUB MISTY 10S

Yup. First invert I ever learned, landed it second try. Biggest thing is commitment, if you bail out on your flip and stop committing you're going to land on your side. You don't ever lose sight of your landing though. Get good forward pressure on your boots (i.e. you'll feel it on your shins), get a good solid pop, and punch with your right hand down to your left knee (opposite if you spin right). Keep looking over your left shoulder and you can see the landing the whole time. Keep a good tuck and you're golden.
