Tips for locking in on rails?

What’s up guys, so this year I started to really focus on park riding and i’ve picked it up pretty quickly as I can already grind a variety of rails and can already frontside 270 out of some basic rails. But I have trouble locking in consistently and I slip out sometimes. So this may be a stupid question but do you guys have any tips or tricks that you do to lock in and make it through the rail consistently. Thanks!

Always stare at the end of the rail.

make you’re you take off the lip at the right angle. If you’re carving into the lip towards the left too much you’re probably gonna fall off on the left side.

get full 90 on the rail. Every time. I see too many people doing 45 slides on rails and they’re just setting themselves up for failure.

This is a really good point. I found I was going over the top of rails at one point. I had to get closer to the rail. Looking at the end of the rail, also, really helps. Your body goes where your eyes go.

For rails with a lip to get on I usually hop on so it almost seems like I'm gonna slip off the front of the rail, that seems to set me up well to lock in and not slip off the back of it. Also looking at the end of the rail like others have said is key

I always exagerate my tip dipping. Push heel/toe into the rail and balance. Look at the end and hou should be good to go. Your balance will improve over time along with confidence
