Tips for keeping my new camera safe?

Recently received a very nice camera for my birthday and want to take it up on the hill to film my buddies. Because of how expensive it is I'm super paranoid that it'll break somehow. What are your guy's method for keeping your camera safe on the hill?

Always bring a bag if it gets snowy, and put a grocery bag around the body if it is snowing, good luck

Don't drop it! Don't leave it in sight. Lock your car. Don't use it below the recommended temps. listed in the owners manual. Don't get it wet.

Don't drop it(no shit). If its snowing bring a bag. Use case when your not using it. And make sure you lens cap stays on when ur not filming.

keep it in a bag full of water so it dosent over heat, cameras dont have cooling fans like computers do so its a common problem for cameras to overheat.

I mean, if you're taking your camera skiing, there is inherent risk involved.. But keep a lens cap for when not filming, if you're a dedicated filmer, keep your camera bag on you and just keep any necessary protection materials in there or pop your cam in while not filming. Grocery bag over body if its snowing or wet (unless your body is weather sealed) and keep a rag with you just incase. If you're using a handle, test it and make sure its secure in it. Otherwise, absorb impacts with your knees and keep a good grip on the camera.
