i searchbared and saw the thread already on this but it was pretty vague and didnt awnser what i was looking for.

im most likely getting this car from my parents(not this one, i got it off google)

mine will be black and its a year older then the one in the pic. i want to get tinted windows as dark as i legally can. how much will this cost and could i get it done at like Sears or would it be better to go to a auto shop?

 
why not just call up some mechanic shops and ask them how much it will cost. do a little shopping around.
 
yeah im not gonna get shit quality tint. ill spend the money necessary to make it look good. i will end up calling some places but i was just looking to see if anyone else has had experience with this type of stuff
 
depends on your location, but you should go to a place where they will do window tinting such as: place where they install speakers/ cd players, custom stuff for cars, sears doesn't do them. but they will range from 150 to 250. look up in the phone book for that kind of place and ask if they do window tinting

its better to get it provisional install so that way you wont get any bubbles
 
find an auto glass place to do it. if they're good, they'll do it as dark as legally possible and give you a certificate that states how dark they are so if you get pulled over or something for it, you can show them that it's legal. (one of my coaches was in law enforcement and had this done to his daughter's car, so he told me this when i asked about getting mine done)
 
exactly..that certificate is important...if your going as dark as legal on a black car they will look real dark and having proof they are legal saves a lot of hassle with cops...best bet is find an auto glass place or somewhere that install's the see through vinyls that you see on the rear window or pickups
