that some americans you should get an education and learn about other people instead of being interested in and only in themselves. stereotypes and judgement without clues are just sad ... i'm happy people working with me are open minded, want to discover new cultures and are working with at least 4 or 5 nationalities in the office.

but i definitely don't want to generalize. coz america gave me the opportunity to meet some of the most friendly people in the world.

so, i restate my first post: SOME americans IN NYC are rude COMPARED TO MY CULTURE, and SOME THINGS IN AMERICAN food are just UN EATABLE for me (as i was educated). I DON'T LIKE NYC, but i understand that some people could like it.

i agree 100% and never told the contrary. I ate snails in my life (even if i stopped) and you would find dsigusting. i NEVER said the contrary.

About the Franco American friendship, i just want to point something: 2 of my brothers and I just rebuilt 2 ford jeeps and 2 wyllis jeep that made the invasion of europe, 2 of them landed in normandy on june 6th 1944. last year i was at the commemorations of the 60th anniversary of the d day, i was driving one of the cars, i spoke with a guy who jumped ver france and arrived not far from Ste Mere Eglise. i'm the nb 1 support of US militaries engagement (out of kosovo but it's another story). i don't know everybody here, but by rebuildong these cars (whose one had three bullet holes in the seat of the driver ...), i made more for the reminding of american involvement in the liberation of france than anyone here.

it just had to be said to those who say i hate america. we will always owe big to the guys who died in omaha beach ... many french people forgot that ....

its sad that people can forgget such an important part of history like when france came with back up during the american revolution when no other country would and my neighbor was a survivor of D-Day and he always said it was one of the most beautifully horrific things he's ever seen he said this because despite the huge amount of life sacrificed by us the determination and valor of the troops that day wass something he will never forget he was also awarded a medal of honor that day for pulling 10 men who had legs blown off and had been shot and arms missing to one of the sand walls he said it was something right out of a movie where you could hear the triumphant music playing and thats why one little scirmish that got france and the US angry at each other is just pathetic to ruin such a long friendship

^honestly? i do that stuff with my bros coz the older one is passionate of that WW2 thing. talking with this guy from the airborne was amazing. but France forgot a long tim eago man. De Gaulle made us believe we won the war alone, then he kicked out american troops. then we had the nuclear bomb, then we had 20 years of liberal government, almost communist (actually, with communist ministers in it 5 years ago).

we forgot, for us, war was won by the resistance with a little help from england and USA.

and to be honest, we had to deal with the colonialism problem after the war.

France and USA should be the best friends, we share a long common history.

i know why french don't like americans, but i still don't know why american hate french for free? any answer?

at least, USA and France are the two most hated counries in the wolrd!! common ponit!
