Timberline vs bachelor in may

so heres the story me and 2 of my friends want to go to oregon in may to ski.
which mountain has a better set up in May? (timberline or bachelor)
is choosing a tent for sleeping arrangements a good idea or is that better to do in the summer months?
where is the cheapest place to stay thats close to the mountain excluding camping?
do the mountains have any type of shuttle transportation?
is there a grocery store any where near either of the mountains?
ive never been out there and know basically nothing about it so any help or advice is very appreciated!

I'm thinking about heading to timberline once school is out since spring skiing pass for may is $99. I gotta friend that lives in portland. I definitely want to know if I can camp somewhere close too since I don't wanna be burning up gas driving 50 miles to and from portland.

Timberline is off the chain this year.

Back of your car in timberline parking lot. Or find a hostile. camping is better in summer months unless you have the legit proper gear.

hostile again

hood has a shuttle that goes up to timberline for a small fee. but it's so easy to bum rides from the bottom of the access road.

goverment camp. I do not know about bachelor.
