aight so i searchbarred and the one thread wasnt so helpful
so this summer, the summer before my freshman year of college i was considering a job at Windells, im too young to work, but a little old and broke to be a camper again. (im 17 but 18 that september) However if anyone knows what timberlines age limit is that'd be great. (they havent given me an answer) also, should i do the classic car camp? try to find a cheap place? MHSSC? lifty? park crew? i honestly have no idea. id only be out there for a little while but i think it would be alot of fun and good for me to be on my own for a month or so.
I'm honestly a sheltered white kid form the east who is just looking for some money, fun and a little life experience. i cant be stuck in mass-uh-two-shits for another summer.

its super hard to get a job at windells and they dont really pay you. i applied a few years ago- it wasnt worth it.

Hmmm, a seventeen year old girl camping in her car at t line seems kinda sketch. I would definetaly try and get a job at one of the ski camps that will give you a place to stay. And if you do decide to camp just remember that its going to be pretty hard, your going to be dirty and stinky, and your going to have to live off like pbj's all summer.

yeeah i need to know stuff like this too, any help would be appreciated. me and another nser are pretty much in the same situation, I was also thinking about windells but sucks u say its not worth it. My plan is to work all this winter until may and save up as much as i can to stay in hood for 2 months and just ski bum it. We'll be looking for a house/condo as close to the mtn as possible and sharing it with other nsers or friends that come along do it'll be way cheaper. I'm 17 and turn 18 that June so i could get a place then in may we'll try to find someone to do the same. Pm me if ya wanna see whattap. peacee

same here, im 17 and ill be 18 in september so if they wont hire anyone under 18 im doomed haha. but that sounds sick. pm-ing

Its going to be tough to rent out a place in govi for just the summer and even harder to find a job up there, best of luck.

Windells pretty much doesn't hire chicks =( bullshit. ski school is fun, but get paid hourly(for more than 2 hours) being a lifty.

You can pretty much forget about Windell's unless you're a world-class schmoozer. They get thousands of applications every year and any new people who get hired are usually people who know people.

There are many job opportunities at Timberline in the summer but you have to get your application in early, like April at the latest, and be persistent because a LOT of people want jobs up there in the summer. Probably the easiest department to find work in is housekeeping.

oh i didnt finish.. your best bet is bussing in the hotel or lifty.. and like everyone else said.. housing is a real drag. id say if you reallly wanna get some skiing in this summer.. just save up some dough now and do a fun camping trip for a few weeks. even if you do get a job your going to be paying hundreds of dollars for your summer pass unless you work full time... which means serious lack of riding.

You can pretty much forget about getting a job a tline for the summer. my brother has worked there every summer for a long time. they hire way in advance and you have to have experience. even though its the best job ever, god luck getting it.

Im in the same spot, 17 turning 18 in August, trying to find a spot to live for a monthe and a half (june 1st-july15?) but ya, ima pm you....

lolwut??? ive been there the past few summers and NEVER work more than 25 hours a week, make good money, and ski about 4 days a week. jobs at t-line are super easy to get if you arent retarded, and if youre smart about what you apply for you can ski a ton AND make bank.

i sure did.. even though Jigga Tay tryed to get me to pay a bunch of money that i did not owe... silly jigga tay.!
