I looked up the conditions and they seem dicey at best. With thunderstorms at night. I am currently packing my car because I am supposed to be leaving tomorrow. WIll the mountain even be open.

I know there was an old thread but lookin for any new info

I heard on the amateur ski radio that there has been some shitty rain/ the mountain closed earlier. I was supposed to leave thursday but got the flu so I am still trying to weigh my options

Dont trust the forecast, just go man, its very likely it will be open. That being said, the public park is on the mile now and its definitely nothing compared to what it usually is this time of year.

I haven't heard anything about thunderstorms. I'm here right now, and the park is fun, but definitely not what you'd expect. 8-9 jibs, and they're working on a jump. They also have more rails and boxes stashed on the side of the fenced in area where the park is now, so i'm expecting that they will build more stuff. This is nothing bad on the park crew, on the contrary, they have done an amazing job at even having anything with the current snow conditions.

They just need to stop being lazy and actually maintain good lips park crews been slacking this year in general. But dude its raining up above Palmer today.

Are you up above Palmer right now?

Yeah it is possible but you all should go right now if you can. I just skied the past 3 days on Palmer. The tide is certainly rising but there is still fun to be had.

Afternoon thunderstorms are pretty likely all week, and could produce some brief but heavy rain. Shouldn't be much of an issue until mid afternoon though, based on the models and forecast discussions I've been looking at. Skiing should get beat before it really comes in most days.

Bring a fly and/or a tarp for your camping but the skiing should be fine.
