most pro skiers on line that ski park use the chronic i think

yeah a lot of lines pro riders use the chronics or blends, but they are all pros, OP is a beginner.

get the tigersnakes OP, u will progress more, and when ur at a higher level get some skies that match ur ability.

Also OP if you really want them to be a ski that Pros use, Wallisch has been using Tigersnakes in some of the Good Company shots, so they cant be that bad of a ski.

The Tigersnake is replacing the mastermind, which was Line's price point ski for beginners. So I'm guessing you'd want to go for that. If youre looking for other pricepoint skis for beginners, I'd recommend surface blanks.

tigersnakes will be lighter and probably a bit softer but the chronics will last you longer and aren't very stiff once youve broken them in

So, if Wallisch rides the skis they instatly become good skis?

yeah sorry I thought op said he wanted a ski that pros used but he said he "didn't" not "did", my bad. And no, I don't think that if Wallisch rides skis they instantly become good, I just thought op said he really wanted a ski that pros use.

I'd probably recommend the tiger snakes. They are lighter and most likely easier to control since they are more forgiving.

And remember everyone, the invader was Line's price point ski. And we all know that was an awesome ski. Price point doesn't mean bad.

obviously you have no idea on what you are talking about.

No the masterminds are arguablly the worst skis on the market. Line makes great skis, but the mastermind is pretty much like skiing on a peice balsa wood.

Okay here, I have never rode the tiger snake but I have the 2016 chronic.

Both are a great ski and you will for sure be happier with either.

tigersnake

-lighter 1650g per pair(half the chronics weight. think about if you can spin a 360 on the chronics you can 720 on the tigersnakes, kinda.)

-cool design

-thin tip and tail

-cheaper

-fibercap

chronic

-cooler design(lets be real u want this in ur ski)

-no swing weight

-butterzone

-capwall

-really good build, I treat my skis like shit and they lasted long

True, mine broke i a tail press. Granted it was the grass at snowflex. Still pretty fun tho.

Please, do not bother with line. I have a few dudes I know who ride for line, and one of them went through 6 pairs of skis in one season. If you have a price range like the chronic and tigersnake's, I'd invest more time and thought into Icelantic, Jskis, or ON3P. ON3P can be a little tough to find deals on, but they're well worth the price. I can say the same for Icelantics, but they're easy to find deals on, especially outdated skis. From experience I can tell you that if you want a playful ski for learning, it really doesn't matter, as long as it isn't incredibly stiff.

if you are a beginner then definetly go with the tigersnake they are a great entry level ski for a price you cant beat. also the carbon ollie band in them is especially nice for rails. i just had a pair i sold because they were a little stiff for my liking. they are very light and have a low swing weight.

Twice as heavy hahahahaha. Jesus.....Swing and a miss there bud. Thats 1650 per ski, chronic is 1800 per ski. 150 grams is very minimal, wont even make a difference

I am just having some fun. Of course they arent that light, I would have already bought 500 pairs.

Nope - it's mine. Ha, I'll correct that. The Tigersnake is 3,300 per pair. Chronic is 3,596 per pair. 178 length for reference.

I would definitely check out the Tigersnake. We definitely wanted to make sure we not only made it an affordable option, but also a ski that had plenty of tech. It's got an "Aspenlite" core as opposed to the Chronic's Maple macroblock which means it's going to be a little more playful - plus it's got a little bit more taper which gives it a little more of a unique shape - you're going to definitely feel it in the swing weight.

he's a beginner, I highly doubt he'd be thrashing 6 pairs of skis a season especially if he's not hitting urban on the daily or treating his skis like crap
