That story is most certainly fake. No location, no real facts, no mainstream media coverage. Plus that is one of the most poorly written articles that I have ever read. Andy why OP are you even browsing that website?
 
Ok so granny takes 50 years off two kids lives and welp ya know what that's what they deserve! We can totally say with 100% certainty that they would have been bad people their whole life so justice was really served ok!
 
They made a conscious decision to walk up behind an elderly woman on the streets and beat the shit out of her for entertainment... They could kill someone or give them permanent brain damage. All for fun...

I'm glad one of the little shitheads that play this game finally got popped off over this. People like that don't belong in a civilized society, they belong in jail or 6 feet deep. Anyone who disagrees is a moron. Do you want to punched in the back of the head and concussed out of the blue while you're just walking down the street?
 
Yes, attempting to kill a 60 year old lady is justifying of self protection and the use of lethal force. If this was a real story my opinion doesn't change. If you are going to do something to someone that could kill them you'd be a moron to expect they won't and shouldn't try to respond with equal force to save themselves.

It's not the fault of the person pulling the trigger nor the person granting her a trigger. It's the fault of the person who decided (for fun no less) that he was going to put her in a situation where she questioned whether or not she was going to die and forced her to make a decision.

Once again, assuming this story is real which it doesn't seem to be at all.
 
since the story doesn't appear to real, apply it to anybody in the same situation.

somebody makes a conscious decision to attempt to knock another person out by punching them in the back of the head....which could result in killing the victim, or paralyzing them if they collapse to the ground wrong, or result in brain damage if not serious injury at the least.

The only thing I'm sorry about when I read stories like this about this bullshit, is that it wasn't me turning a gun on somebody trying to do this.

In a different fictitious scenario, would it be ok for two young people to (potentially) murder a 60 year old woman for fun and get away with it? Anyone who plays this "game" most definitely deserves to be shot.
 
Mindless, stupid, whatever. Poor word choice but I still stand by my opinion. I agree that she absolutely had the right to retaliate but not the right to kill. I'm not standing up for idiots that do this but don't think they deserve to die just because of this
 
If someone is attacking you/potentially trying to kill you, you have the right to protect yourself by any means necessary. All she would have to say is she feared for her life and was acting in self defense.
 
I was going to specify in my reply not to include torture but thought people would be more realistic. Whatever, I just don't think they needed to die.
 
Yeah I suppose you're right. All that is preventing me from entirely agreeing with you is the fact that these people had their whole lives ahead of them.

I think you are really missinterpreting what the alleged situation is, they didn't get caught and given the death penalty.. An old lady shot 5 times at 7 people blindsiding her... they hoped she was an easy target, turns out she wasn't... they took a gamble and lost... Too bad
