Thug Culture in Skiing

There would have to be a thread about it around every 2 minutes for the last ten years. I wear the bigger clothes to set myself apart from the regular joe / weekend warrior on the mountain. Oh and I like the way it feels. I've always bought clothes to big tho, i always chose the highest number on the soccer team when i was 6 to have the biggest jersey ahahah.
 
at the end of one of the powder magazine issues ahmet dadali *i think* said that yes it was to get away from the racing, so racers wear tight clothing and to show that ur not a racer you wore baggier clothes

I dont try to be gangster. I dress in haggler clothes because I find them more comfortable and they look good. I used to wear clothes that were fitted, and they just seemed like they restricted movement
 
The irony of course being that the REAL THUG CULTURE in skiing is comprised of tight pants wearing, beer swilling, shenanigans inducing, pseudo-intellectual nihilists. On the other hand, the traditionally "thugged out" skiers are mostly 16 year old posers who would've been wearing airwalks whilst carrying skateboards in my middle school in 1994 who are scared of drugs, parents, and the police. They also play lacrosse and soccer and worry about things like college, jobs, and this thing called the future (it isn't real).

A ski thug is someone who drops out of life to ski and doesn't give a fuck about nothin' 'cept experiences.
 
Alright im not racist by a LONG SHOT, but if skiing was thug, how come there arnt any black skiers? just throwing it out there...

i find it absolutely hilarious how the wu has become the iconic choice for the "thug" skiers. If casabon and harlaut didnt rep them so hard, i honestly believe that 50% of the kids on NS who claim to love them would have no interest. its not about the music, its about what appear cool.
 
NS being afraid of drugs... Nah I dont think so, check out how many members 420 Cult or Grip and Rip Cult have.
