Throwdown 18/19

Haven't gotten out even half as much as I did last season thanks to getting a big boy job, was looking forward to daylight savings time for the longer days and somewarmer weather...but damn this rain is really killing hopes of a long spring season.

I'm not crying you're crying.

Hyland has really been crappy lately with all this terrible weather :(

First slush day of the year at spirit was absolutely stupid fun. Hopped back into the cork game today and went cork 7 to cork 9 lol. Also did my first backflip in 2 years off one of the big jumps and that was a huge rush. Joel was going psycho and almost went sw cork 9. At the end of the day some random dad tailgating in the parking lots with some other dads sauced me a brew, excellent way to cap off the best day I've had at spirit this year.

How'd it hold up with the weather?

Still got a solid foot of base so it's going stong. Won't be the case by the end of this week.... But I'm stockpiling snow in hopes of keeping it going deep into April and possibly May. I really wish I had like a hand operated snowcat, shoveling all that snow sucks ass. On the bright side I'm getting some phat gainz.

Although I'm prepared to be disappointed, it looks like we could be seeing up to 26" of snow Wed-Fri... Will that be enough for some local hills to reopen (besides Wild and Troll)?

I've got $50 on only wild and troll being open near the cities. I'm very ready for the season to be over though, I wanna start doing summer things.

Has Buck closed? They tend to stay open longer than others

oh yeah I always forget about them... that was my go-to after hyland closed back when i lived in the cities.

Storm update: lake superior is cock blocking all the snow again with the winds off the lake, supposed to snow all day and night but turn to rain Friday. Still will get 9 inches or so up here. Central and west minnesota are getting hammered though.

Hit up Lutsen last Saturday, not a cloud in the sky and 55 deg. Slushy as hell but damn it was fun. Not too many side hits and kickers built compared to last year but fun nonetheless. found a couple nice drops and even got a bit sunburn, likely my last time out this season so ill take it as a pretty good end to an otherwise mediocre season for me.

hurt my back and cant walk to well im starting to lose sensation in my legs. I have to get a lot of PT this summer but hood in two weeks isnt gonna happen.
