Throw me legit critiques, I throw you k+

Wasnt terrible. Skiing was pretty good. Filming was steady and smooth editing. Only critique would be to use the original song instead of that weird dubstep. Cage the elephant alone is fine for this edit. I also found the black screens right before base drops kinda cheesy. Id replace those with broll. But good job

Try and get a better angle on those follow shots and try to get more of the feature or the skier in the shot. Also, going with what Lou said, song could've been the normal version and was a little cheesy. Other than that, solid edit and hope to see more.

Awesome, thanks guys! Wasn't super sure how to handle the lull before the bass drop hence the blackness. B-roll could have been a good idea!

There were only two things that really stuck out to me other than what has been said.

1. Really try to cut the trick landing before the revert if they do. I understand sometimes the skier will do it right after they land, but it was something I noticed with this skier in particular on his fs 2's out

2. The b-roll you did use was good and at the right times most of the time but i thought the boot shoot was very random and out of place. It would have made sense if the skier adjust his boots then dropped all in one shot.

Other than that it was pretty enjoyable and overall pretty smooth.

Do you have any suggestions for cutting off clips before a rider reverts almost right away like that? At spirit the features are pretty close so its hard to ride out if you want to hit the next one so it happens a lot. I just feel like when I cut them off super early the cuts between shots feel really jumpy.

Here is my 2 cents

1. The skiing was good but there were an excessive amount of front 2s. From the other things you did im assuming that you can do some lip ons, switch ups, blindside spins etc so try and mix up the tricks.

2. I love doing one or two follow cams in an edit so maybe throw a few of those in there.

3. You tended to revert after some of the tricks off of rails, just try and ride them out a little bit longer and then cut it like the guy above said.

4. Nice stalefish 5, i love that trick

slow mo and so don't go together, skiing was dope, try and better stablize your shots, the b roll build up was dope but the trick going with the drop didn't flow, try and sync that up more. Overall the edit was pretty good.

I swear I saw some other edit with the exact same shots which was sick, can you link us that edit that you guys did?

pretty sick dude just thought maybe when ur filming on the jumps to stand right on the nuckle to get those steezy ski aways etc and also when fimling while skiing and the skier is on the rail to have the camera a bit lower but faced higher, it looks pretty sick and makes the skier look big and cool. cheers

Yeah we had an edit which was our whole crew together in one video! heres the link! Could you elaborate on what you mean by "slow mo and so don't go together"? Thanks!

Cheers, Rex's stale 5s are strait dirty a lot of the time...looks so styley

some grime time front twos, grimy front 4, alright urban dropage, no steeze, knuckled or shuffled every jump, apparently shitty dub step but i didn't listen, didn't finish the gnarly rail no gnar points

*asks for legitimate feedback on video, gets useless untrue comments on tricks in video* One of the 6 jumps in the video just tapped the end of the knuckle, the 100ft rail is only made all the way about 1/15 times even by the guys out here that are sponsored so I appologize about not having the camera rolling when he hit it all the way..he still made it to "gnar-kill" though so about 90ft on a sticky ass rail, as to the "shuffling" he isn't shuffling to complete the spin, he's reverting because all the features here are packed into a small space so he's preparing to hit the next. All in all I give your feedback 0/10

You should get rid of the shot at 0:40 but I liked the boot shot because those are some of the sickest boots of all time.

them old school booters tho haha

On the stationary jump shots like the one at 1:01, try to stand more on the edge of the knuckle, so you can get the landing!

I thought that it was very good in general, just use b roll shots or another substitute instead of just black, and also maybe pick a song that relates to the style of skiing more.

Decent edit overall, the only thing i noticed was that it really didnt flow as far as a story went. you had skiers hitting the urban drop, then a few more tricks, then b roll of building that urban feature. personally i think it would flow better if you had the b roll of building, then had all the shots on that feature after it. to me it just flows better and kind of tells a story.

also you never introduced the skiers. perhaps have a shot where you are all together, so we know there will be more than one in the edit ( and if it was all the same person who was wearing different clothes maybe just put their name in somewhere at the beginning so we as the audience can differentiate)

hopefully that helps, there wasnt a lot wrong with it, decent edit overall

Awesome, makes sense! I like the idea of telling a story and will for sure try to do that in the future. Yeah it was one skier throughout. I did add a title slide later on for him but had posted it here before I did that so it doesnt show up as the cover shot.

I think edits are better when we get to meet the rider. Maybe a gearing up/lift ride shot with him would help. Music I don't care too much for, just doesn't fit. Also they are called twin tips for a reason...land switch, ride switch don't revert the millisecond you land ride it out..Get more creative shots too..Cool a follow cam and a tripod! You have hands use them to hold that damn camera and walk around the feature and get shots! Other than that..decent edit 8.1/10

Pretty solid. The only thing I noticed is you were kinda repetitive with the tricks. If you put your best shots for the majority and then have 1 or 2 style tricks, it will keep the watching very focused to the video, instead of watching a bunch of your trial shots to finally get the shot and trick you wanted. So if you just reduce those shots and keep your best tricks and best shots for the majority of the edit; in my opinion, it would be a very quality edit! good work tho man, keep it up

i actually really enjoyed the edit the skiing was on point and the filming was good. i only have a few additives. first - although your skiing was great, i would have enjoyed a bit more variation in your tricks(lots of 5s, and lots of front twos). second try and clean up your grabs would be next level dope instead of just very dope if you do. finally-change the song, dubstepy stuff is pretty unappealing in my opinion in edits. the og cage the elephant would have been much better.

all in all though great job twas a good watch
