Throbama Out

this thread makes no sense, but has something with throwing obama out

"I didn’t vote for him, but he’s my president and I hope he’s up to the job."

— John Wayne

i think ppl need to remember that quote. The elections over. Obama won. Whether you support him or not, hes your president too, you need to stop bitching about him before hes even had a chance to prove himself. I know republicans who are praying for him to screw up so they can say i told you so- what does that accomplish. Obama is president for the next 4 years whether you like it or not, and our countrys already pretty fucked up so just hope he does his best.

no, obama is not my president.

and his best is to take money from hard working americans who have made something with their lives and to give that money to lazy ass fucks who dont deserve it.

do you live in the US? Yes? Then he is your president, you cannot deny that regardless of your views. If i don't believe in gravity, does that mean it doesn't apply to me?

You may not have voted for him, but the fact remains that in a little more than a month, he will be the president and you will have to deal with it. Or do like everyone said, and move. People sure are sore losers these days. But then again, i've never understood how people get so pumped up about politics. I am a true neutral

why the fuck do republicans think they own the description "hard working"? it aggravates me to no end.

because my father worked his ass off to get three degress, paid for them himself and is now making a lot of money to pay off his hard work. now the piece of shit that just got elected is going to take even more money from him to give to lazy pieces of shit who dont deserve a fucking penny of it.

i agree, but maybe with the toned down for tv version.

and i think its funny that so many people were quick to jump on the "he's not my president" bandwagon for bush. if a bunch of people become critical of people criticizing obama, i might pull my hair out.

wait...what?

what does that have to do with being republican? are you saying only republicans work hard, or what?

right the single mother who has to work 3 jobs at minimum wadge just so she can get benefits from the state is a lazy piece of shit.

do you know what it means to be ignorant?

people like you are the reason the rest of the world hates america. you have no idea how good you've got it, or how you got it, or why other people don't have it.

didn't you see the new report from genetic science daily? when working on the human genome project researchers found what they called the hard-worker gene that is only able to exist within the genome when attached to the republican gene. if there is a democrat gene the hard-work gene mutates and becomes the lazy sob gene.

lulz

but to the guy above (i cant quote two things), im not denying that your dad is a hard worker, but i take offense to either political party saying that they are the hard workers and the other party is lazy.

this reminds me with the whole "pro america" thing this election, where sarah palin said that the red states are full of pro america people. Im pretty sure that 99.9999999999999 percent of americans are pro america. Think about it, even domestic terorists are attacking us because in some twisted way they are trying to improve our country. People if your a citizen of our country, you should be pro america because it means that you support yourself. The fact that people would insult me by saying tha my beliefs are not in our country's best interest is obsurd.

it might be because i am from good old europe, but here a financial solidarity between citizens is enshrined in pretty all constitutions.

to be honest, its a good thing. of course paid my mom (single mother) a lot of money to social insurance systems back in the day, i will pay them a lot of money my whole working life and so will everybody else.

but recently, i needed two surgeries, one to fix my nasal septum and second one to "clean" (thats the word the doctors used) my ankle joint from a few cartilage/bone splinters. i dunno how much those surgeries cost since i never had to worry about. same with dental, sport medicine and whatever.

in my hometown, there is not much work beside winter/summer season. a lot of people get money in may, june, september, october and november when unemployed. so there is a financial security.

of course there are downsides (people abusing the system, foreigners coming to us and try to get money out of the system) but in general i think its good, and all you americans who think obamas a socialist, please shut up.

its a good thing im not a mod because posts like this and the account that posted them would just mysteriously disappear..

i agree that he doesn't, but i doubt you do too. And me, and most of us. And there isn't much we can do about it. It's a natural thing. People want more stuff than other people., and once we get there, we don't look back.

I'll tell you though, being in college can make you appreciate what you have back home. Such as food available all the time. I've been running for 5 weeks now with no food apart from a small meal 3 times a day, and 2 a day on weekends. But you know, even then, i know i definitely don't appreciate the fact that i can walk less than half a mile and have food available

You have a decent point. However you need to tone it down and not throw all this shit on Obama. He hasn't made any policies yet and just because he may raise taxes isn't a big deal. Taxes on consumers have been pretty low sincec all these stimulus and tax cuts have been going around.

With that said, it is not the Republicans that get fucked over. It's the upper middle class. People who start businesses can either no longer stay in business or pay so many taxes when their business does well that it isn't even worth the trouble. You have to understand it isn't Obama's tax policies that are the cause of this. Right now there is a serious hoarding problem, which means that people at the very top (wealthiest 5-10% in the country) are hoarding money and not spending it. It is so crucial to our economy that those people re invest their money into firms that it is starving our economy. Those are the people we need to go after for not investing on taxes, not people like your dad and my dad. Not the people that may have enough to live a good life and put their kids through school. I'm not saying just tax the upper class either, that isn't the answer. I would hate to have someone tell me what to do with my money in a crisis like this, which brings this to a very hard decision. Who do we make happy? You also need to open your eyes a little. You probably have never seen poverty as bad as some places I have seen. You need to understand that while some people are lazy, yes, not everyone or even most are like that. There are people that need help. We have created our own situation where welfare problems are necessary. When there is technology out there to perform a life saving operation and some people can't come up with the fucking overexpensed 80 grand so some doctor can go golfing in Hawaii, there's something fucked up. Now I am not saying it's the governments fault for not socializing health care. There are always extrrenities in every situation. We just need to take a good hard look at problems like this and put ourselves in others' shoes for once.

this thread sucks.

It starts off making no sense and then mutates into one of the 400 clones we had a few months ago. It's like another brangelina baby.
