yo guys, i'm an australian citizen but due to my mom's job we moved to

the U.S. when i was four. this summer (winter for you guys), i'm

heading back out to australia and i'm gonna go skiing with my cousin in

thredbo, which i'm real stoked about. i was just wondering how the park

is there, whats the terrain like and what the mountain is as a whole.

thanks guys!

oh and if anyone has pics or vids of the park, posts would be siiiiick

Well it doesn't really compete with parks overseas but there are 3 parks the beginner park at merrits the medium park at high noon and the advanced park at antons.Beginner park is really fun to muck around in and have fun. It has small jumps and a few different easy rails and boxes with a t-bar to lap it as much as you want.Medium park in my opinion this is the best because the location is good. It had a nice flowy jump line usually but kinda small with some fun rails and jibs that get swapped around throughout the season.Advanced park is alright. There is usually one big jump at the bottom of it which is really fun to session but the location is really bad as it is relatively flat where they build the park. When the good rails are put in it is really fun. Jumps are sometimes to big (even though they are small) for the speed you get.Overall good park for what they have. Park crew are really good but because of the weather the features get really bombed out with big holes where people land.If you are able to shred a park such as keystone then it will probly be really easy. If not it is a really fun park to just play around in and the snow is usually quite soft so it doesn't hurt to fall.This is the local freestyle comp website but if you look through the photos and videos you can see a bit of the park from last yearhttp://www.thredbo.com.au/freeride/index.asp?FreerideSeries=11

thanks man. ++ karma

i'm sure thredbo will be a shit load better than skiing my summer set up in my backyard this summer

Perisher Blue parks are Australias answer to Mammoth - check it mid-week (to avoid massive crowds) if you get a chance (and if we get some decent snow)

They are really close. If your staying in thredbo u just drive down to the ski tube(train) and it takes u straight to perisher. Perisher is alot better for parks. you should definatly get over there and check it out

yer perisher front valley park is sick. Last year they had a a few nice 20-40 footers then a sweet 60 footer at the end of the aprk .sooo nice you should defs head there. Threre was a pretty nice 50 footer last season in thredbo which was soooo fun. but yer doesnt compare to america
