Yeah man, its pretty common to do. Just wrap it, toss the lens in the oven at 300 for 25 minutes and you've got a sweet wrap.
 
I’ve always been surprised ski goggles never picked up a tear off system like motox goggles or helmet visors. The biggest issue is liquid getting between layers. If someone came up with a solid system. Even a single layer would be great, help protect from scratches, possibly remove caked on stuff depending on where and when you’re skiing.

could add tint like many nascar drivers do for day to night races.
