Thoughts on Ski bags

Hey everyone I am in the market for a new ski bag and was wondering if I could get some input. I travel quite a bit and usually bring my gear everywhere I go. I am looking for the roomiest most functional bag that there is. I currently am using a Dakine ski bag but I only can put my Sir Francis Bacons in there and thats about it. I would like a bag where I could put as much as humanly possible in it. From what I have read it seems that the Armada bag is the way to go but I just want to make sure that is the best option for me. Thanks for your help.

Your best bet is to find a shop that sells multiple brand's bag and take your gear with you. We ran into this dilemma during a utah trip and my pontoons were a struggle to fit into most everything.

i know a couple guys that use snowboard bags for travel. like you jsut throw your skis in then pad them with your pants and that kinda stuff. one tip, ifyou keep your edges sharp ( pipe skis or whatever) put a strip of tape over them so they dont knick up your stuff in the bag.

I use a Dakine Double Concourse and can easily fit 2 pairs of 185+ skis (95 and 115mm) + poles + 2 sets avy gear + bunch of other random crap that would put me well over the weight limit before I filled it volume wise. This bag has done many trips, super durable and keeps everything well protected.

I use a dakine concourse double roller its huge. I can fit 2 pairs of skis powder and park plus all my gear and all my dads gear as well its huge

i used a k2 continental double bag this past winter and it hauled 185 ep pros, 183 blends, and 181 chronics. along with those, i was able to fit my skins, trekkers, shovel, probe, and two pairs of poles. it was over the weight limit, but only by 2 pounds so i managed to sweet talk my way out of a fee. but if you're looking for a big ass bag, this one definitely does the trick for me.

in my toen theres a shop called mcmaster sports i just went there and picked up one of theyre brands bags for 25$ i dont know if its ski or snowboard but it works amazing and i can even put my boots in if i lay them down flat with snowpants and other things.

omg i love my ski bag. dakine concourse double roller, as previously mentioned. fits 2 pairs of skis and i can get almost a weeks worth of clothes in there for extra padding!!

I've got that too. Absolutely love it.

When it comes to a ski bag it's worth spending a little extra for something that's perfect for you. It will last ages. I've heard good things about the Armada one, but I have always loved Dakine.

Yep. Concourse Double FTW

It's definitely at the top end as far as price goes, but it is up there for a reason -

- Compartments for your gear,

- You can separate your skis from everything else, good reinforcements,

- The wheel assembly is well built,

- The whole bag is really well padded and can take a shitload of abuse from baggage handlers etc,

- Really strong handle thing

- Dakine has an excellent warranty dept

basically the best and most durable thing out there

another vote for the dakine concourse double.

i also have the dakine fall line double and you would struggle to get 2 pairs in it with a bunch of gear.

I just loaded up my dakine concourse double bag up with 189 bents 186 blends+boots, poles and everything else I need for my trip too utah. +1 for dakine.

yep, the dakine concourse double bag is where its at... i borrowed my friend's last year and loved it, was about to buy it but went with oakleys 3.0 ski bag instead, which is kinda the same thing only the airline kinda messed it up a bit on my last trip so i'm not sure if it's gonna last much. i'd go for the dakine bag if i where you.
