Thoughts on Sigma 10-20 f/3.5?

Hey M&A, havent posted for a while. Anyways, I am looking to get a lens, something a little wider and have come to the conclusion that a Sigma 10-20 might do the trick. The main question I have before I buy is if anyone has had any negative experiences with this lens, or if there is something better out there (possibly a prime? budget of $500). Thanks

I've considered the same lense, but I think I've concluded to save up a bit more and go with the 11-16. F/2.8 all the way through is pretty fast. And the sharpness is second to none.

this, the 10-20 has some weird distortion and is more of a "fisheye" while the 11-16 is very wide and looks amazing

i've had the 10-20 f/4-5.6 for over 2 years now.

i've used this lens a fuck ton, and its gone through a lot. pretty good build, sorta distorted at 10mm but nothing near fisheye and i love it

I love my sigma 10-20. One of my favorite lenses for skiing by far. If you are going to be using it in really sunny situations its perfect too. It gets highlights and shadows. The white snow isn't blown out and you can still see dark details all at the same time. Only thing i have a problem with is in cold situations the focus stops working. You have to set the focus ahead of time while its in a warm area. Once the lens gets cold the focus won't spin. Other than that i love it
