So I’m planning on buying the revolt 86 for a really good deal, but i already bought the arv 96, should I buy them anyway so I have an all mountain and a park ski that’s good on piste too?

im looking for a ski that’s good to Butter and for rails since I’m planning to step up my rail game.

thx in advance

EDIT: i think a few people think of the revolt 87, but I mean the revolt 86, these are 2 diffrent skis.

Revolt 86 would be one of the hardest park skis to butter, harder than your 96 I think. Something very light and easy to butter would be the Vishnu wet, also very light. Not supportive or very stable tho

Lmao where’d you find that. They are a very stiff ski maybe like 8/10. Good butter and rail skis: line blend, line honey badger, ON3P magnus 90 or 102, Vishnu wet, faction prodigy 1.0, armada b dog and edollo etc. there’s more but that’s off the top of my head

Ok. Just letting you know that volkl doesn’t make soft skis. Even if it’s not a super stiff comp ski their shaping is very traditional (no rocker at all). Volkl just doesn’t make a good butter ski and that’s the bottom line

Im searching more for a medium ski, that can take the groomers too but more for park. Not something as soft as the blend and also not as wide as all these skis you named

I learned how to butter on the 87. Not saying you should go for it, but if it’s really cheap you can butter and learn tricks on almost anything

Faction prodigy 1.0 is 90 underfoot and not super soft

I mean Im just deciding if I should buy the revolt 86 or not, cause it’s 370€ with binding. I obviously looked at the blend (which is definitely a bucket list ski) but right now it wouldn’t be that smart to buy it for 500€ since im 14. sooo do you guys think I should buy it as a second pair or just stick to the arv 96??

thx to everyone that replied

just keep your arv 96 it's fine

I have the 86s and they are great for rails and jumps. They aren’t super playful or easy to butter. But with extra effort. I am able to get pretty swervy. I also instruct and the stiffer ski makes it great for skiing terrain other than park

I haven’t rode many park skis. But a solid 6/10. 10 being blends on crack. I like them because you can still get into butters and be stable at the same time.
