Thoughts on 333 skis

I know this company was all the hype back in the fall, $333 and $222 completely custom, sounds pretty cool, right? The hype died down and I havnt heard anything about them until no_steezes hilarious post in the jiberish tat threadIm just curious anyone who got them if they are great or shit, because the deal seems almost too good to be true...
 
i think alot of people got there skis way later then they should have and said they all looked pretty half assed. i remember there was a thread on here awhile ago about a guy that got a pair of skis that werent twins when he ordered twins. then they got flooded with orders and had to take a few months off rebuilding his "factory" to make it more efficient. not sure what happened after that.
 
i jut looked at the website for the first time in a while, i guess they aren't completely dead
 
bump cuz i want to hear from people who have themalso I just received word that due to the economy they changed the company name/pricing, its now 111skis

just my lame april fools contribution to the site...
 
As far as the skis go, I have only heard bad things. What really grinds my gears about 333 is the dumbass running the "business." From what I have seen, he has little work ethic and runs a joke of a company. I don't know if he just kind of thinks things will fall into place and everything will work out fine.
 
i had them

they made the wrong skis so they told me they would make new ones and i could keep the old ones. i mounted them (they were also flimsy as shit).

the new ones took to long so i told them to just refund my money, they said alright but it will take like a month.

i waited 3 weeks, then checked up on them, and they told me they wanted the skis back first (would have been nice if they told me that 3 weeks ago).

i drilled holes in the ski and then sent them back. got a check in the mail eventually for the entire cost (shipping too).

wasnt worth it. they skis were like twigs, they were dying to snap, although my skis did look a lot better than some others

Is this all true. Only one person actually has skis from him?

I am about to order a set of these and I am a pretty agressive powder skier, I really dont want to get stuck in the deep stuff with a broken ski..

Does anyone else actually have a pair of 333skis and what package re-enforcements did you opt for?
 
I'm sure you could pick up some used hellbents, arg's, or some other pow ski used for the same price. Then you won't have to wait 6 months to get a ski that you're unsure of.
 
save yourself the worry and frustration.

as someone already said, you can find some used skis for 350 and buy those and be very happy. no reason to risk it
 
^^ this whole thread is from 2009 hes done a lot since then. You guys should check out the improvements he has made since then
 
The guy honestly belongs in a mental hospital. Pretty sure he suffers from both a heavy bi-polar disorder as well as a mild case of scitzophrenia or how ever you spell it.
 
your an idiot. this guy never even replied to my email to tell me he wasnt going to make my skis. hes a douche. also everyone said that he makes shit skis and you go and buy them anyway. guaranteed you never get your "bombers"
 
More like the 'Lada' or 'Yugo' or any other soviet bloc era car brand.... of skis...

At least Hondas and Toyotas somehow hold together.

Something about using plywood as your core material just makes me LOL.

Plus, dont they just vacpress the skis?
 
333 makes test skis that are made to be broken. and thats what im going to do. I'll make sure to post some pictures when i get them
