I'm looking to apply at a few universities out in BC, and TRU is one of them. I'm looking into an arts degree with a major in Poli Sci./ Poli. Studies. Can anyone who knows someone, or goes to the school fill me in on things such as campus life, admissions, local skiing, what the cities like?

Greatly appreciated, + karma to anyone that can help.
 
this makes me laugh because at them moment im in kamloops at thompson river in the health sciences building i believe; in the computer lab typing this. and i don't even go to this school. i'm waiting for my 12am bus at the greyhound back to blue river.

school has good security. HAHA.
 
My brother goes there.

Being one of the bigger cities in BC, its obviously pretty sketchy as a city. That's all i really know. My brother is having second thoughts on being there, he only went for the biking which is now over. SUn peaks is like an hour away i think.
 
it's a nice town in the summer. you got the rivers to go tubbing, the lake for swimming, it's got a nice pool, amazing mountain biking, it's almost always sunny. And I've found that it has a high percentage of good looking ladies, BUT, I found this during a season of tree planting...sooo I might of had bush goggles on, ya know?
as for the school, i know nothing. but it's a nice valley for summer recreation.
 
OR you can move to Kelowna (which is far superior to Kamloops), go to UBC-O (UBC degree > TRU degree), and major in PPE (Philosophy, Politics, and Economics). You have the choice of Silverstar, Big White and Apex all within an hour away (not to mention Revelstoke at 2.5 hours away), and you don't have to deal with girls who were birthed by mountain goats.
 
Yeah I've applied at UBC-O for Poli Sci. It's my first choice in BC, but I thought I'd apply at a few different places so I have options.
 
I heard that UNBC is actually a really good school. that being said I don't wish going to school in prince george upon anybody - especially skiers.
the way I see it, based on it's location in the province, if PG were to suck anymore it would cause the whole province to implode. for realz.
