Thompson Rivers Students

No, but I have lived in Kamloops.

Its possibly because I have an accent, but the girls like to have fun.

Apparently its a really good school.

I don't go there but a couple of my cousins go, as well as some friends of mine.

They absolutely love TRU, one of my cousin's says she wouldn't trade it for anything. The profs are chill, smaller class sizes and they are actually in their office during office hours.

Also in my opinion, Kamloops is a hell of a lot more fun to go out in than Kelowna.

I think it's because I'm much more comfortable going out in jeans and a tshirt and hitting up the dance floors that aren't super, duper crowded. As in, enough people to have a good time with but not so many people that I can't move around. Kamloops is like that whereas Kelowna is much more of a dress up and go out to really crowded places type thing.

With the exception of the Corral. I also met a heck of a lot more people going out in Kamloops than Kelowna.

It just depends on your personality.

This is my second year at TRU, imo it couldn't get any better. There are tons of fun places to go downtown and the campus bar is super fun on thursdays. Also, people are a lot more real here than at many other schools. I did my first year at UVIC and far prefer TRU. As a bonus, you have Silver Star at 1 hour 15 mins and Sun Peaks at like 50mins away.

I go to UNBC but TRU is super sick from what I have heard. Kamloops is a wicked city and Sun Peaks has one of the best parks in the west. Hands Down. You thinking about going for January Semester?

kamloops is the worst fucking place in canada. It smells awful, the city is all over the place, the bars are terrible, it snows 30cm throughout the year, your 45 mins from the ski hill, and its full of ugly girls.

kids I go to school with tell me that the res is damn fun to live in but you still live in a prison cell with rules.

haha drivien through it that was enough for me. anyone know of any movie premieres coming up in kamloops?

I'm wondering if anyone knows if TRU still has a ski & snowboard club? I went out on "clubs day's" to find it but it was windy as and no one had seen it set up. If anyone could help out that'd be sick. Thanks.

BUMP! Heyy I am going into the Adventure Management Diploma this September and I am wonding if Thompson Rivers has a ski club or if they hold rail jams? Also I am going to live off campus, does anyone have any suggestions for good appartment locations close to the school?

i am planning to do the adventure guide diploma in a few years. As far as i know there is not a ski club, but there is a daily bus to sun peaks from res and with the amount of trips you do, you will get a lot of skiing.
