so anyway, i hate when religious people try to twist shit into hating on them, its kinda like when black people call you racist when you disagree with them (nothing against black people, its just an example).
like my mom here, i was listening to death cab and that song i will follow you into the dark came on, and she got all fired up about how its anti-religion and what not, when i called her out on trying to be a victim she just skipped over that and said the line "i will follow you into the dark" is against christinity because death should be light, like heaven, so basically she thinks everything needs to be jesus freak approved.

I've found out that some people just cant be argued with. Jesus freaks in particular. Sometimes their logic can be so flawed. Ever been to the southeast?

i agree, i go to a catholic school, and some people, theology teachers to be specific, can be just absolutely ridiculous. now i believe in god, im a catholic, but this teacher that i have brings up random movies, and things that happen in the world, and she says that its based on religion, or that the deeper reason for this movie has something to do with god, or some different religon. and all i can do is sit in class and shake my head.
 
The biggest thing I learned teaching swimming lessons was this: you cannot reason with a two-year-old.

The biggest thing I learned in my philosophy class was this: you cannot reason with a religious fanatic. Or any regular kid who's been prevented since birth from making their own decisions about God and faith.
 
Haha I can't believe I used to be one of those people, personally I have nothing against it for reasons I'm too lazy to type, but (dont take this the wrong way) most of them seem suuuuper ignant and like one-track minded.

No offense to anyone just how I see it.
 
it kinda makes me angry that people make this whole believing in different things a war. sometimes i wish everyone had a little Buddhism in them and learned to accept others beliefs.
 
yup. my moms like that too. Jesus freaks and Christians are a different breed, just so everyone knows. im a firm believer, but im not a d-bag about it and i swear, drink, smoke trees, hit acid, everything a good hippie should do. so, just remember that if someone believes in God its very different than beng a Jesus freak.
 
what really fucking pisses me off is atheists that can't just let it be, and feel they have to convince you against religion. like this one kid, every lunch he's going on about how he's "read the bible 7 times" and stuff, and how the bible is completely flawed, and you should just go home and kill yourself. without the killing yourself part. it just gets fucking annoying.
 
some of the jesus kids are really nice, but when they start trying to push that shit on me, i get pissed. they just cant accept that there could be an alternative to what they believe. like im fine with them believing what i think is silly, but they cant do the same, its their way or the highway
 
no, i used to like them in 7th-8th grade, i downloaded plans cause i remembered liking it, i listened to a few songs, theyre decent, id rather listen to other stuff though.
