dont you think you would accept the cheese grater thingy after 2 days or so of starving and dehydration (mind you, youre in a relatively humid forest, so it might take a while)?
 
Tied to a tree hands down. Ive done it a few times and they didnt complain. Well afaik if a person is tied to a tree in a forest and nobody hears them they dont make a sound.

I'm starving for the sake of fashion anyway.

But really it's a lot less painful, it's how we let people go in palliative care (ofcourse not tied up to a tree ander under some pain meds, but you are not telling me it's worse then being sliced up.)
 
you all forget that you would be dead by the team the cheese grater reaches your torso, and if it takes a minute to get all the way to the head, it would probably take about 15-25 seconds for you to actually die.
