This is why you shouldn't race

that must suck! those guys travel at around 105k's in a super-g

back when i used to race i stradled a slalom gate, felt like my left nut had benn split in half. never nutted on a rail though.

and then when i was standing around waiting to race i would have it out of position to the side so my real bulge would stick out all awkward. super tactic to break the concentration of my competition.

Haha, yea!

reminded me of this

i'd say, as a former racer, that a nut-shot is the least of your worries when hauling down a course wearing only a helmet as protection... that wasn't even that bad.

^ i agree the chances of catching a gate there are pretty slim. and last i recall hitting a gate with any unprotected body part hurts like hell.

My teammate straddled a SG gate at the Apex Nor-Am last year, she took it on the inner thigh and kept going, apparently "She didn't notice". Anyways, she was in second place til they disqualified her. Beast! It left a giant purple welt all around her leg.

hahahaha the boys took a beating on that one. i've strattled gates before but i usually block it with something other than my family jewels

Stop acting like some tough guy. Kids I've raced with who've been doing it their entire lives, and better than you could imagine, would say that straddling a gate would fucking kill. No not the worst thing that could happen, but a fucking bad experience regardless.
