Thinking of doing a ski season in Japan

So I was thinking of doing a ski season/work holiday in Japan. Currently looking at doing it in Hakuba but open to suggestions. I have done two ski seasons in Austria I'm guessing the apres scene is a little different in Japan.

How is doing a ski season in Japan?

Any tips in getting jobs that get you good ski time?

When are they opening up to tourists again? I'd love to get over there sometime.

Very soon, if not now. I can’t remember the date but it’s around this time

Nice! Maybe i can skip out mid season. I had a long layover in Tokyo a couple weeks ago and it was still closed to tourists. Would have been cool to get out quick and check out the city. Def want to get a proper trip in eventually whether skiing or touristing around. Never been.

Moiwa Lodge on Hokkaido. The Moiwa hill is small but has access to great side country and isn’t swarmed by the plague that has taken over Niseko. You can make easy trips to Rusutsu and Kiroro as well. The people that own the lodge are great and treated us like family.
