Thinking of buying twin tips

I ski boarded because i couldn't afford twin tips, but now that twin tips are as cheap as ski boards im temped. So I demoed some twin tips, they were the Rossignol SAS S3, i dont know what size they were, but the came up right below my eyes. Had no problem carving down the mountain and doing small jumps, but i kept riding one of my skis over the other at low speeds, i guess i wasnt used to the turn radius compared to skiboards.

So anyways, im 5'9'' 147 lb, my budget is under 275. I liked the SAS S3 and i can get them for $239, but are there any others? i was looking at line chronics, but i heard they chip alot. the Rossignols i rented looked in good shape for being a rental. Also what size do you guys recommend?

I'll sell you my old somewhat-chipped-up but-bases-still-nice white Fischer Addicts 181 for $60.

PM me.

Good idea gettin off the ski boards.

60 dollars this is good!!

get some real skis, and for 60 for a ski that will still put out, you can't go wrong.

also, d structure is having a HUGE sale right now... look at some ski models and post them here, we will give you a run down of each one.

i got some rossi SAS S3 and i really like them. so far they have held up great. i would definatly recomend this ski over the lines because the lines do chip easily. www.porterstahoe.com has some good deals on skis

you want skis that suit you, not ones that dont chip easily. You wont be dissapointed with lines, but if you like the sas3 then go for it

deff go get twintips. i dont think you could go wrong with the invaders, but i would get the anthems since ive seen them for super cheap lately. you dont have to worry about detuning your edges for rails, a few times on a rail and your edges will detune themselves. good luck with making your ski choice.

you dont NEED to, but it helps tremendously if you do.sure they will de tune themselves, but until then rail will suck. just take a file to them
