Thinking bout switching back to my old boots

i sized up at the end of last year, it wasn’t the same feel, noticeably less enjoyable. pls tell me , anyone else have their toenails come off within the first week of the season? if enough people say it’s normal i’m switching back no questions asked
 
Toenails came off with new or old boot?

Ive had a toenail come off with a boot that had a higher and larger toe box because my toe would slam against it. Current boot is 1mm bsl shorter but much lower volume and tighter fit. I don’t have the same problem now.

old boots take the big toenails off of both feet after my first real backseat landing of the year the last 3 years. the boot fit is so snug and in tune tho and they don’t hurt at all after my nails come off ? my plan was to get a footbed for the larger ones and see if it helps. the toe box is just too roomie not length wise but height wise

in other news i grabbed a saga pullover from the sun and ski sail u linked, just opened the package ane this thing rocks, thanks bro
