Thinking About Moving to Whitefish

Cons

Member
Anyone have any experience with Whitefish/teaching skiing there? I have family friends that will let me stay at their house for the season and it is about a 15 min drive from the mountain.

Have you already been in touch with the ski area/ had some conversations?

Figure you have but it's getting close to that time where places start wrapping up their hiring. Haven't worked there jist want to make sure you've spoken to them or will asap.

Yeah most definitely, I am thinking about for 2024/2025 season so just trying to get feelers out a little beforehand, would be a wild move for a month or two from now but this comment shows the love in this community! Thanks for the reply!

I feel like anyone would be looking to hire on as much staff as possible at any point in the season nowadays...

Mountain towns don't ever have enough labour on hand, so theyll hire anything with a pulse at this rate. If you have some certification for teaching, theyll bring you in whenever.

I just bought a house in c falls but lived in wf for years, send me a dm here or on ig. Housing, like all mtn towns, is incredibly tough to find you’re lucky to have a hook up close to the mtn.

Yeah true but sometimes people move woth plans to work at the mtn and can't find something or maybe not the job they want. Mtns def always need people these days. But also they're hiring anybody and everyone sometimes. The earlier the better chance of good jobs and housing.

But yeah probably true. Pretty common for mtns to be chronically understaffed these days
