Think I made a mistake

Bought these bindings for cheap off eBay to go with a set of skis I didn’t want to spend too much on. When they came today they were way more beat up than I thought. How beat is to beat? I obviously want to be safe and not risk it. Will post pics later

Buying bindings second hand can be sketchy. Depending on the binding year and model it could be on the indemnifiable (think thats the word) list and a shop won't even touch them. What bindings are they?

I think those are the 2012s? I might be wrong. Not sure on the rules but its usually 10 years max so its really up to the shop.

It is worth a shot. See my above comment. I put the wrong thing first and had to verify.

yeah so they def have some serious use so i'm curious how much you paid for them?

and i don't know what year they are, but i don't THINK they'll be un-mountable just by virtue of age. and they're worth asking the shop about because the damage in the pictures might just be cosmetic basically

could go either way, so i say def bring them to a shop and find out

Got them for 40 bucks pretty sure they’re 2012. I’ll bring them to a shop for their opinion but just seeing the rust on the din screws scares me because I feel like they could be rusty on inside too

yeah, it's not a sure bet at all but worth checking i think!

I’m on fks 155 from 2004.... you should be chill as long as they pass a release test

testing the bindings on a tester, while not mounted on your brand new skis, might be smart

I rode these bindings for like 4 years and they are awesome bindings. Never had a single problem with them while using them for park. Im pretty sure they are 2014s. Ive broke two marker bindings in the time ive had these. Don't worry about them there great.

Also i know for a fact that the ski shop i work at will mount these. They are on the list for functional bindings.

Definitely. They are just used and a couple years old thats all. Ive abused these things in the park and they have held up perfectly.

I think you could get a couple years out of them providing theres no obvious damage to them.
