think i chipped my knee cap

i hit my knee on a rail a little while back, and i didnt thinl much of it, i had a little cut, but no big deal, now just recently i was chillin and i noticed that theres something floating around on my knee cap, and a whole where it fits, i guess its probly a chipped bone, it doesnt hurt really, but doesn anybody know if its gonna become a problem if i dont do anything about it?

i've done that to many bones, unless its bigger than a quarter i wouldn't even consider going to the doc

chipping a kneecap hurts like a bitch. Besides a bone fragment is pretty sharp and with all the movement that happens in your knees it would rip up cartilage and create debilitating scar tissue. Your knee would swell and would freeze up with you not able to move it without extreme pain. I doubt that it is a serious problem if it doesnt hurt, but if you are worried, it wouldnt hurt getting a picture taken of it.

 
its not like that, it doesnt hurt, u cant see anything except a cut, but theres deffinitely a holoe and something in it

spend the money and have it looked at. knee problems are not something to fuck around with.

Yea my dad is a doc and he says the knees are hard to repair if damage is done to ligs and tends that cant fully heal! but personally i never listen to doctors you will be fine dude keep skiing

get it checked out just to be sure. trust me, knee problems are a bitch. if you can prevent them it'll be a hell of alot better in the long run.

check out webmd.com first bro. It is probably just fatty tissue or liquid that got disturbed as a result of your contact. But still get it checked cause one day you might wake up with what seems like a baseball under the skin of your kneecap
