Things you wish you knew before you started skiing

Wish I knew that the gangster vibe of park skiing was such a facade, I would've started way sooner. I was turned off completely when I first started loving skiing at like 9-10 years old.
 
^and newschoolers especially. That was also when I was getting into the internet and I thought ns was full of assholes so I avoided it. I have lived long enough to become the villain.

Tanner hall kind of made a mockery of the freeskiing culture by his whole thing where he thought being black was cooler than being white.

and henrik has kind of been on damage control since, slowly easing us back to reality and hoping trolls like dolan dont call out the wangsta scandal for what it was.

That i would end up separating my shoulder one season, breaking my neck/back/pelvis the next season, then snapping both the bones in my forearm the next season. Still wouldn't change a damn thing
 
The park community is surprisngly small.... Which means all the guys ive dated/slept with/attempted a relationship with always end up knowing each other one way or another... pretty sure they all hate me now. No way Id date a guy who doesnt ski park so I guess that means I will b forever alone

it is . grew up the city before that so for me small town whistler is pros and cons . i had this housemate who was park crew and kept ghosting people i was like the community is too small to pull that off and would hide behind me on transit to avoid people he ghosted . I have one ex who ghosted me after 3y together and makes stuff up about me. it’s a struggle but if you’re surrounded by the right people it’s the best ?

Wow okay so you totally feel my pain hahaha, skier boys suck I'm soooo over it.... but YO if you ever wanna hotlap at grouse or go touring in whis I'm always keen
