Things to do in NYC

im going down for the day and im just looking for the best expierence. i wana eat some good as pizza see some cool as shit and prolly do a little shopping give me some ideas!

Grew up right outside the city. Damn, its hard to try and fit it to one day. Definitely check out the world trade center spot/memorial, super gripping and really puts things into perspective. Take a walk through Times Square, grab some pizza, theres a pretty cool elevator ride you can take to the top of the Empire State Building for like 10 bucks I think. Wax museum is pretty cool too. Will you be there for that night too? If so, the nightlife is a whole different story.

Get out of here. If you had a bad experience in NY, you probably had the wrong mindset our agenda.

Go to the BaoHouse in the Lower East Side (LES) and explore that area. If you see something you want to do, do it! You really don't need an agenda for New York, but pick a good starting place and have some back up plans if you hit a wall

too much walking, too many people, too many advertisements. brooklyn and like the brooklyn art museum are really cool though i reccommend brooklyn

Brooklyn is nice and a part of NYC (though sometimes it feels like a whole new city). It's awesome, but Manhattan has lots of awesome places too. Most of Manhattan is nothing like what you described, which sound a lot like midtown. If you ever make a trip back to NYC, I recommend you give Manhattan another try.

Also, Queens has a lot of cool stuff to offer

actually manhattan was pretty nice, ive stayed on fifth avenue and someone decided to light the trashcans on fire in front of like hermes and chanel and calvin klein it was really cool

Lived just outside the city my whole life its not really taht exciting anymore. But for me personally, the food never gets old. Im a huge foodie and absolutely love eating in the city at top rated restarraunts. If i was visiting I would just set aside a monster chunk of cash and go experience as much good food as possible.

The nightlife is a whole never level. If your 21 just find a crew and role deep and go wild. Once again prepare to set aside a monster chunk of cash

I grew up in Westchester ny and I've been to the city about 15 times. It cost $27 for a round trip train ticket and I got arrested the last time I was there for falling asleep on the subway at 3 AM And spent three days in a Brooklyn jail I hate New York City pacha(sp?) and Webster Hall suck dick. Thank you that is all

I longboarded everywhere I went when I stayed in NYC for a week. Best time to go is early morning before 8 (or 7 if you can manage it) when not many people are on the streets. (This was in Manhattan by Central park).

I also took a lap around central park almost every morning for a good/chill workout. That park is so fucking huge and it was super chill.

Here's another NYC suburb kid. Lived a short train ride away from the city for the first 20 years of my life. I'd say pretty much anywhere you grab pizza at is going to be good. As for things to do, literally walking around and exploring Manhattan will be cool. Go to Central Park. and chill. Once it gets dark, get hammered at one of the many amazing bars.

by NYC i'm gonna assume you mean Manhattan cuz thats what everybody calls the city.

best pizza hands down 2 brothers pizza. they have 2 slices and a coke for 2 bucks. but hoestly i think it's the best not because it's cheap as shit for the city, but i honestly think its delicious. im pretty sure it's on St. Marks place (kind of a hipster neighborhood though but still some cool shops to find). a friend of mine told me there is another somewhere between first and second st way downtown but i know thats not to specific for directions. sorry.

wanna try something different, dollar dumpling on the corner of allen and delancy st. hands down best dumplings in the city. its a little hole in the wall place across the st from the big chinese restaurant next to the wine and liquor store. it is literally the only place that ive ever had fried dumpling that i like. and 4 or 5 college guys can eat their fill there for under 50 bucks. for manhatten thats awesome. and again they are delicious if you like chinese. little orange kiosk around the corner sells beer and doesnt ID. pick up a 6 pack and eat in the dumpling place. makes for some good times. plus it's a short walk from some of the best nightlife spots.

as for fun stuff to do besides eat, just walk around and don't be afraid to walk into random places. you'd be surprised what cool stuff you can find.

sparknotes: pizza, dumpling, and walk around to find shit.
