Things to do in LA/Southern Califonia

We still have 3 days left on our vacation in the Los Angeles area and have done all the things we wanted to do: Runyon canyon, Hollywood Blve, Venice Beach, surfed in San Deigo (I don't think we will drive that far though). Went to Disney Land, Bought some things. We could go to Long Beach too.

We are about out of money so things that are cheap/free would be best, but if you have an idea to through out for next year I'd also like to hear it.

Idk we're out of ideas and just sitting around, if you have anything that we might not have thought of but would be cool to do, I want to hear it

I don't get what all the hates about, we've been here two weeks, if you guys know of some cool things to see throw them out here, otherwise I'm pretty content with kickin it at the g-ma's house.

We aren't actually in LA we're about 15-20 mins outside but you've probably never heard of La Canáda Flintridge

Go hike Switsers(sp?). It just up Angeles Crest Hwy which is extremely close to where you are. Go to Pasadena and enjoy the endless amounts of delicious food. Otherwise just chill LC, assuming your in the hills is a pretty sweet environment.

La Canada is a beautiful city.

Anyway. The Getty is a fucking amazing museum. Go there and then drive mulhulland at night. Griffith park is lovely, go to the observatory. The Huntington gardens in Pasadena. MOCA and LACMA in DTLA are super famous. There is exposition park next to the USC campus that has several pay what you can museums. Pinks hot dogs is cheep and delicious and famous. Have a pool day at the standard in downtown. See a movie in the dome at arclight. Look up Malibu creek and go cliff jumping there. Go picnic at the Vasquez rocks.

I could keep going, but it's tough on mobile. Pm me if you want more.

I wouldn't say the best, but the topping options can't be beat. I like to get 1 coleslaw dog and 1 chillie nacho cheese dog. Plain hotdogs are pretty much taboo there.

I'm guessing you don't longboard or have a motorcycle because there are so many good canyons in Malibu/Whittier/Glendora area, etc... Go to east L.A. and buy hella cheap shit and eat tacos in the 'fashion district'

if you have a car, go up to malibu and chill at zuma beach or in the monicas. so much amazing parkland. malibu creek, point dume, leo carillo. malibu bluffs/topanga is super fun. too bad you don't have a bike. ENDLESS cross country mountain biking in the santa monicas. you could go up to point mugu or make a day trip to santa barbara

i really like point dume. surfing the right at point dume at dusk is one of the best experiences of my life.

also, i second the Getty. lots to do, whether you are into art or not. my mom was a member of the trust, so i've been there hundreds of times and i still love it every time.
