anyone on the east coast see the yellow/green sky and hear the thunder? Ive been hearing radio warnings here in NH all day, its kind of eerie...

Yeah, here in Mass they're freaking out about a possible tornado out east. I can only hear thunder off in the distance, but I'd be surprised if we didn't get hit too. The wind's been blowing from the west and the temps dropped like a rock. I agree, though, it does look really unsettling.

it just passed where Im at in seacoast NH, the sky is now normal and I barely hear thunder

for all the hype on the radio that was kind of lame...

I'm in northern VT and we had some thunderstorms, I didn't get any but some passed by. Southern new england was supposed to get fucked today with crazy shit.

here in bridgton maine we've being seeing lighting off in distance and eery clouds and i really hope theirs a massive storm

Get ready for that oil rain. Get to your nearest lake cause shits about to set on fire. But watch out for zombies, we all now theyll be close behind.

A storm would be so nice right now. The weather was so good yesterday, and it's started to heat up again now. I just checked, and there's a good chance on T-Storms in Eastern Mass tonight, and rain on Wednesday yaaaay

yea there was a constant thunder here in CT for a whileee, and it was like yellow/orange outside!

pic right now^

Well here in VT the sun was setting in the deepest brightest pink/red I have ever seen. That usually means its clearing.

I just got home from Portsmouth NH, and for those of you who are familiar with the area, Coming back over the bridge on Rt. 16 (the general sullivan i think), you could see crazy lightning out over the bay. I also heard that in the Worcester Mass area the are recommending people seek shelter immediately as a precaution for tornadoes. Can anyone confirm this?
I used to live in florida and i remember once there was a tornado warning (meaning one had been spotted in the area), scary shit. The sky turns green, its super eerie. I remember my mom rushing around getting blankets and stuff into this closet in out house since we had no basement. /cool story

Its thundering here in boston, not too bad though. In kennebunkport its horrible, I just got a text from my friend at work and she said power is flickering, the dining room flooded, etc. If you check the radar they got the worst of it. She'll most likely comment on this thread later

yeah, driving to maine from mass tonight all we could see was huge black clouds and flashes of lightning everywhere up north.. looks crazy.

That was weak. Western MA only got a drizzle and an awesome 5 minute distant lightning show. They said hail, and 60+ MPH winds for our area.....the shop still stands.

Pics or it didn't happen.

Seriously though, I love taking pictures of storms. Clouds are just so damn cool, especially ones that just wreck everything in their way. If you took pictures and they were good, and you posted them it would make me happy.

Confirmed. But as far as I know nothing happened, this happens every few years it seems. I was supposed to be camping tonight too, glad I didn't haha.

Probably coming from the midwest. Minnesota got a big storm yesterday with a bunch of tornado sightings.

Omg the storm was crazy. It rained so hard that the bar area of my work flooded because there was over 7 inches of rain pooled up outside the door and it was all seeping into the bar, and the power kept flickering on and off...crazy night for sure

I wish I had a proper camera when this massive storm went over the Netherlands a week ago

76000 lightning strikes in just a couple of hours, the sky was flashing constantly

Every red dot represents a thunderstrike:

And this came over 2 days later :

This morning at like 10 I awoke to easlily the loudest thunder of all time, this was ridiculous, literally ear piercingly loud. Side note, today I was walking into a movie theater, which is a pretty big building, and lightning struck the roof, I had my hand on the wall for some reason and I felt a huge shock and a spark ran down the wall. I'm almost positive I have superpowers now...

aaaaaaaaaand this makes it all better.

Tbh, you could fuck my mom, and I'd still forgive you if you made a Markhor pic about the experience

The water hasn't been this warm in years. We're going to get slammed at some point. We're not supposed to have this warm of water

im in upstate NY. i work at a water park and it was clear skies and then this fucking WALL of dark clouds come out of nowhere and basically totally blotted out the sun, began to rain/thunder/lightning so bad we closed down. i was working the lazy river and a tree just off the river fell over across a fence, before that i was at the top of a raft ride when an umbrella tore off the mount and i caught it before it fell, then a nother umberella fell down a tube slide and set a land speed record going for the bottom. after i got home a HUGE tree fell down in our backyard and crushed part of the fence on our riding arena.

shit was intense yo.
