The way a Promo Vid should be made

I came out of NS retirement to make one post. You are the biggest claimer ever. You claimed your own promo so hard and it was just switchups to classic 80s, that shit was cool 3 years ago your not special.

I would have loved it if you didnt claim it though, claimer.

very good skiing. Camera work is sooo close to being amazing, just a little too shakey on most of the follow stuff. keep it up. I like a promo where you get a feel for the personality of the skier.

Toms not actually a claimer, i was just joking with him. i think everyone got the wrong vibe when he made this thread. all hes saying is that a promo should be fun and goofy, not so serious

dont hate on tom, kids maaaaad legit quick. you guys are getting the wrong idea...he simply meant that promos should be made so that they are fun and reflect the personality of the skier which i think tommy did sucessfully....so puh-lease dont be hating, this kid is not cocky quick, so dont worry about it.

i agree with the message that he is getting across. its like people make promo's that are strictly business with sad music, and then their video parts are happy go lucky with dancing or funny comments.

1) why go throught the time to make two different edits with the same shots

2) companies like to see that you have a personality and you will be easy to work with, not some punk who only wants free stuff.
 
keep the dancing, it shows that he has fun and thats what people should do when they ski. but claiming was a bit obsessive haha. sick prezels tho, you really got those down. i like how you can do them really well on boxes, i find it alot harder to pretzel on boxes than on rails

i wasn't trying to claim shit, i was just trying to show that promo vids should be a lot more fun and personal. Almost every promo out there now makes use of a hardcore rap song, or some kind of instrumental beat, and its just ridiculous. Skiing is fun, and we have fun skiing by dancing and fooling around. I simply posted this to show people that not everyone out there takes promo vids super serious and not everyone trys to make them over dramatic. My bad if it seemed like i was trying to madd claim my shit or anything, i was just happy with the way it came out and thought i would give more people the opportunity to see it by posting it in SG. I did this in the hopes that more people would learn to make less hardcore/dramatic/intense vids when skiing is actually all about having fun. So basically i'm sorry if it seemed like i was trying to claim my shit, but i was just trying get a point across. Hope somebody out there will make a fun video instead of an intense one, next time the edit

 
well you OBVIOUSLY cant get spanceredered unless your for cereal. oh and another thing, you cant get sponsored unless you have a switch 1080 in there, and i didnt see one. good luck trying to get sponsored with that untalented piece of poop.

I should have made this thread, it's what I thought after watching 50 different promos this summer. Nice clip, it really stands out.
 
RR kids are dope. Don't be mad cause he abviously enjoys life. U.N.GNAR/D-Kr3W still go yer back cause we like to hav fun too.
 
soooooo true i love ur promo just like craig coker´s part in sh6.. at least one part like that should be in every ski movie with that kinda music and style...

props man u hopefully find some good companys which support even though u haven´t a cab10 in ur video..^^
