my friend just moved and the goverment said that they should move away because there is a contaminated missle silo near them and that the US goverment would pay them a lot of money to keep it quiet from the news and stuff

here is what he said:

it seems as though i might have to move.... again. The reason because we moved right next to an old Missle Silo Site! Yes, and the government thinks that it may be contaminated with someb certain chemicals that could be very hazardous to us... but one good side to the whole thing is that they will be paying us a LOT of money to move. Part of it is because they want us to keep our mouths shut to the newpaper reporters and news people. They have also checked out some of the other old missle silos around the area and two of them have tested posotive so, yeah...

so they are gonna pay him a bunch of money to not tell the media (and anyone else for that matter)about this...

Me and him are gonna try to get this to as much of the media as possible!

women's rights and abortion are independant entities. But yea, maybe you should consider keeping this on the dl. what would be the point of releasing harmful information to the media? You should consider the fact that 'the government' is doing your friend a favor by not only telling him to move off a location that is contaminated, but also paying him to do so. You sound like you've fallen victim to the 'anti-US government' fad, and like the fad is causing you to do something pointless and stupid.

Then the press comes in and ask if you would like to have a artical done about how you found out about thses chemicals and they run the artical on the front page of the paper and then you make shitloads..... however in america the government shots everyone involved and its all covered up

I don't really like the gov't either....but think about this. The media is just as bad as the gov't. It's a bunch of people who stick their noses into everything just like the gov't. And maybe the reason they want you to keep quiet is because they're looking at the bigger picture. If you spill the scratch to the media then maybe they go out of control with it and this prevents the gov't from dealing with something quickly and efficiently. The media doesn't know shit about that stuff...they have to get outside specialists and consultants that give their 2 cents and this just makes everything a total mess and it costs an assload of money to bring in people to deal with the media and keep the area secure and all that shit. And there is always the possibility of someone hunting you down and killing you....and all of you that thinks the US gov't doesn't ever do that....you've got blinders on.

But either way it's fuckered if you ask me. Catch 22..athz it were. Just give it some thought.

First of all, i personally don't think abortion is right. George Bush only made late term abortion illegal. If any of you think late term abortion is alright, youre fucked up. Its murder. It basically shows that the baby when killed in abortion can feel pain. I find it funny that the people that are pro-choice are the people that say bush is killing innocent people. And about late term abortion. I think anyone here can realize that a baby that is an hour away from coming out of the womb is alive, and thus killing it is killinbg some form of innocent life, its not that hard to realize. The baby hasn't changed too much over that next hour period, for it developmentally is the same as it would be coming out. If someone would say this is against women's rights, look at the fact that 50 percent of the late term abortion victims are women, so therefore it would seem to me that many future women would be helped out. I doubt anyone here would like to have been aborted.

I hate all the potential bullshit. sure a fetus is the potential of a child... but so is a 3 year old girl. I'd venture to say that the US has its chemicals stored as well as any other country, too bad you didn't move to Saddam's Iraq where they put unproperly stored chemicals in your basement at the risk of death if you don't keep them there, that'd be great.
